How do you edit a post that has already been posted?

You only have a total of 5 minutes to edit your posts, any time after that and they cannot be edited, except by a Mod. And Mods will rarely edit any post unless the post is against the rules, or there is a serious problem you need changed in the post. But for general mistakes they will not change them.
If you catch it in 5 minutes there is an edit button at the bottom, i believe.
