I agree to a degree. I do believe that South Park is quite the ungodly show that Jesus would be opposed to.

What makes it so ungodly? It might not be particularly promoting Christian values but there are few television programmes that do that, including things such as the news. Furthermore, it's not especially anti-Christian either.

You answered it in the way I was expecting, but I find it unsatisfactory I'm afraid. How do you know you're understanding the Bible correctly in order to know you're understanding the Holy Ghost correctly, in order to understand the Bible correctly etc...?

I'll post it a second time, but read this web page these are quotes from South Park http://jpetrie.myweb.uga.edu/southpark.html now tell me that it isn't unGodly. I never said that South Park is the only show that is unGodly. I do agree that most t.v. shows are unGodly, but I don't watch mushc t.v. It doesn't matter if it isn't anti-christian, it is unGodly and we are supposed to stay clear of that stuff.

Did you even read it? They mocked Jesus by having him on there and saying he was on star trek. There is constant fulgar swearing. I don't get how you didn't see this as unGodly.

The thing is this- Just imagine..if Jesus were seated in your living room/ tv room with you, would you watch it without hiding your face in shame or would you laugh along with Him and give each other high-fives at the humour?

I think there are more important things to do as Christians than argue whether something's holy or not. Let's let each person work out their own faith like we are told to do by Paul.

Yes I read it. It wasn't mocking Jesus; I saw it as more a poke at where people derive their understanding of ethics.

I suppose I should stop watching the news then? There's scenes of terrible human acts on there. I should probably not even watch Jesus of Nazareth since it depicts people committing evil acts.

I'm not being awkward in the least. I'm just using the proposed standard (ie. we shouldn't watch things which depict things offensive to God) and applying it universally.
