The biblical definition of "love" is essentially selflessness.
1Co 13:4 Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1Co 13:5 doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil;
1Co 13:6 rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth;
1Co 13:7 beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Since what is called the "flesh" in Galatians chapter five is essentially selfishness. One might conclude that both Christian maturity as well as Christian testimony consists of walking more by the Spirit and less by the flesh.

Hello @HatedForNoReason, if you, as a Christian, are looking for ways to love your ~unbelieving~ family members and neighbors, it seems to me that there is no better way to do so than by helping them find Him and come to saving faith in Him, like you did 
Of course, this, as I'm sure that you've discovered, can come with a fairly substantial cost, especially when it involves witnessing to family members and close friends (who sometimes want little to nothing more to do with you afterwards .. cf 2 Timothy 3:12).
If this is the kind of thing that you're after, and you'd like to hear some "real world" examples too, just let me know.

Of course, this, as I'm sure that you've discovered, can come with a fairly substantial cost, especially when it involves witnessing to family members and close friends (who sometimes want little to nothing more to do with you afterwards .. cf 2 Timothy 3:12). Love means that you want no harm to come to anyone and you only want the best for them regardless of how they treat you, and you care about the poor and needy and not your wants.
Love works no ill towards their neighbor therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
And the love of money is the root of all evil for it neglects the poor and needy.
We are to love our neighbor as ourself so we care about their needs like we care about our needs, and do them no harm like we want no harm verbally and physically.
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
We are to love all people but our level of showing it will vary from person to person.
Some people we can hug which we would also shake their hand and say hello.
Some people we can shake their hand but do not want to hug them.
And some people we can say hello but do not want to shake their hand or hug them.
Some people we cannot be around but that is on them because of their behavior.
