how does God speak?

God has spoke to me in various ways. He has spoke to me through someone preaching me the Word of God. He has spoke to me various events in my life. He has spoke to me through closing doors in my life. God has spoke to me through prayer and reading the Bible. God has also spoke to me through music and art. One of the biggest way God has spoke to me is through his creation.

you speak about ''vibes'' which is the equivalent of ''feelings'' and if one is to trust and follow his own ''feelings'' or ''vibes'' as you put it, then this is the same as saying one should follow his own whisms and desires.

You said earlier that one must ''test'' the spirit that whispers/speaks to him and my question was How do you ''test'' that spirit ? with what kind of 'test' do you 'test' them ? in other words, how do you know that it's the 'Holy Spirit' that is speaking to you rather then your own whisms and desires ? and I can't say I'm satisfied with the reponse you brought forward, since it didn't adress the question asked.

it comes all back to what she was saying about love... if you leave your heart open and let it be consumed with unconditional love, you will be amazed at how direct God really talks to you. i also get these "vibes", but i'm not generating these... if you act selflessly and ask God to direct your path, He will and YOU will know the difference between you and Him. You have to have trust in Him and be mindful of how to serve God. God talks directly to my heart, and I hope everyone knows how easy life really could be if truly served Him.

One test given to us in scripture is- Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh !
Also, all that is of God, through the Holy Spirit, brings forth fruit, also is supported in scripture.
One can also know in faith, that one trusts all in Jesus to His protection and care, knowing in this faith , hope and love recieved and given,
that one is always safe in His dwelling. That even if one fails, God Our Father brings His power and glory to our weakness.

there are so many I don't know where to begin.

basically when you pray, you look for answers and wait for God to reveal what you should do by what happens out of your control.

I pray that God opens the doors He wants me to walk through and close the doors to temptation and paths He does not want me to walk.

for example whenever I have a big decision to make like what job to apply for or classes to take. I take a few minutes and pray and wait for God's answers. I say God "I can stay home with my kids or go back to work and help other kids learn and feel loved, which should I do?"

I get the answer that both are good options and either one will please Him.

Then I say, "Well i'm going to apply for these jobs, if you don't want me to take one for whatever reason, then close that door"

one job I didn't even get called in for because the computer system gliched and they misplaced my application under the wrong social security and the other job I got. I didn't really care as long as I could use my God given gifts to help people and make them feel God's love and presence. I'm a subsitute teacher at the local high schools now. I"m on at five different schools and its great, most of the time.

that is how God works through circumstances in my life.

I have a testimony I haven't shared for a while.

I Got my driver's licence at a late age 25 and years before I rode my bicycle over to the next town to do the permit test and didn't really study and failed the test, I gave up on it till a few years latter when I had gotten a girlfriend who went to my church but lived in a different town. My mom thought she might be going to the town with the permit test and I didn't study at all for the permit test but wanted to have my licence to be with my girlfriend. on the way to taking the test I prayed to God " I don't deserve to pass the test but I want to get 100% on the test." I wasn't taking a chance that I would fail because i didn't know the grade curve and I failed the last time.

I'm taking the test and every question that I didn't know the answer I would ask God , I made it to this question I had absolutely no idea what what the answer was and I prayed "GOD, what is the answer? and kept praying and I heard this voice that said "the answer is c" and I prayed "God!! give me the answer" the voice "THE ANSWER IS C!!!!" and me "God" the voice THE ANSWER IS C" the voice was screaming the answer is C and I said God I can't consentrate with all this yelling and then it hit me the answer is C. and sure enough it was the right answer and I got done with the test and got 100%. Next came the eye test and I forgot about that and years before I had to wear glasses and lost them so I asked God to have me pass the eye test and I passed and I don't need glasses to this day.

I get out to the car and looked into the car with my mom in the front seat and older not Christian at that time brother in the back seat and said I have a testimony and tell them all these things and just then a mom and her teen age son come out and her son says " I thought the answer was B" and and his mom looked really angry with him. and my mom and brother's mouths dropped wide open.

What happened was the drivers examiner was having a loud argument with the teen about that question I had trouble with, and her yelling stopped exactly at the time it finally clicked in my mind that it was the answer I needed.

At the time I thought isn't this cheating? and then I thought no, I asked God for the answer so it isn't.

LOL please keep my family in your prayers. My little brother is the only Christain besides me. My mom and two other brothers haven't seen the need yet because they live relatively moral lives in comparison to some people who profess to be Christian and say

" if God is a just God then how then they be allowed in to Heaven and people who behave more kindly, patient, loving and self controlled be denied entrance? Its illogical and what is in Heaven anyways? I'd rather wander the Earth for a while first"

Its hard to know how to speak to family about Jesus because they change the topic, pick on all your mistakes you've made your whole life or something else. I"m praying about it and that He will send other people who will help them SEE the NEED for JESUS in their lives.

It doesn't help that my adoptive grandmother who is Epicopalian believes there are other paths to God and thinks them being Buddhist is ok. When I speak up I'm told not to "talk back to your elders"

Its a hard thing, but I leave it in God's hands because the situation of saving people is GOD's we just plant the seeds He gives us and water where He directs. The increase is God's Glory be to God.

That is difficult when others have there own path to God, my dad is in a Christian denominational church but has all kinds of not biblical ideas he gets from his church he also thinks there are other paths to God. once he gave my mom some some teaching materials from his church and he wanted her opinion on them, she answered every single part of the materials with strictly only scriptures to show it was all wrong, she didn't add any other words to it and he never asked her opinion again. I used to talk to my dad about spiritual things as well but there comes a time when it does no good, maybe in the future he may be open but it doesn't look good at the moment.

My brother was an extremely strong evolutionist and didn't believe in God let alone in a God that communicates with us and shows his power in ordinary people's lives. My brother had a resistance to any God talk and so I talked about other things that were very helpful and when he was open for a tiny bit of God talk I slipped some things in and in a few years he was converted.

i think HIS ways of speaking are countless...in the bible HE used animals and objects...and with me, HE speaks in another way (kinda personal to share right now) but i don't think HE has limits...

lol if the sandwich spoke to you would you be able to eat it afterwards or even throw it away? lol

don't trust every voice claiming to be from God, remember to test it with the HOLY BIBLE to see if they are in line and that it is for edification, exhortation and comfort
