I have always been a very happy person, very bubbly and easy-going.

But, just as it happens in every person's life at some point, bad things started to happen to me and changed who I was.

My mother died in 2003, accidentally.
In 2009, I moved across the country with my husband and our 2 kids, leaving all I knew behind.
I fell into a severe depression, wanting to take my own life.
In March 2011, I lost my father to suicide.
In May 2011, I found out my husband had been having an affair on me for the past 6 months.
This affair continued on for the next year...and still goes on to this day.

Dealing with all of this left me at the absolute lowest point in my life. I felt completely worthless. Although my kids meant everything to me, and I knew I would never take my own life, I still had several different visions of suicide flashing in my head several times a day. I knew I needed help...for me and my boys. So I went to the hospital and was assessed by a psychiatrist. I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. He did not recommend meds for it and said they would often hinder progress in overcoming the illness. So I went to a psychologist to get help. She wasn't much help so I stopped seeing her.

Someone casually said to me one day "you should go to church". I agreed that God was what I needed, but could not stop crying long enough to even get ready for church. But I prayed, and one day I made it there. I continued to go there each Sunday, and things got better for me. I applied the sermons to my life, and made necessary changes to follow Christ. I had realized that being with Christ was where I was most happiest. I continued to follow Him over the next year, learning about the affair still going on as I went, but getting stronger instead of weaker because He was with me and I had now trusted Him with my life. I kept forgiving my husband and taking him back because I loved him so very much and I did not want a divorce to destroy our family.

In May of 2012, I fully gave my life to Christ, and was baptized in our church, with my children at my side. As I emerged from the water, I felt cleansed and light as air. God had washed my worries and fears away and He and I became one.

Today, I am happy to say that I am fully cured of my BPD, with no symptoms since I was baptized! I trust Him to guide me through my life, and I don't worry or fear anything...well, I'm still trying to get over my fear of wasps and bees! LOL

Unfortunately, I just ended my marriage the other day when I caught my husband cheating through email once again. It has been almost 2 years that he has been with her behind my back. I am not going to tolerate that anymore. I am better than that. I deserve to be treated better than that. Although it has been a rough couple of days, it is getting better already. God is with me every step of the way!!!

God never will never leave nor forsake us... Thanks God that you did not take your own life :) Soar high, serve strong and continue to be a blessing to everyone. :) :) More power sis!

ps- I'll keep your boys in prayer, too, that their hearts and minds be guarded in Christ, and that this sad situation won't bring doubt of the Lord's goodness.
