Laura’s life was changed in 2002 when she had an experience that would lead her on a path of researching truth. It all began one evening at a party. Laura and her friend “Jane” were getting comfortable, chatting and relaxing. Jane really wanted to drink, but didn’t want to do something stupid so she asked Laura to watch her that evening. There were a lot of unfamiliar faces there and some cute ones too. Laura wasn’t planning on drinking so she agreed and told Jane to enjoy herself with no worries. Laura wasn’t about to let anything happen to her. She had always felt like an older sister to Jane and loved her very much. Jane was chatting with a fellow at the party and Laura was standing back just enjoying everyone else’s conversation. It wasn’t long after Jane began drinking, maybe 10 minutes, when she said, “Laura I don’t feel good” (so she didn't have time to get drunk). They were standing six or so feet away from one another. The moment Laura made the thought to walk towards Jane she was enveloped in an evil fog. Such a dark and thick presence that she was filled with dread and fear. It wasn’t something that could be seen, however it was as real as the wind. Jane and Laura were the only ones aware of this evil. Laura had said that she would watch over Jane and so she knew she had to protect her, save her from this presence. Laura took Jane to the bathroom to be alone and the presence followed. Laura had grown up in a Mormon church (but has since left it) and she knew something about how to pray, so she began to pray with all she had in her. Laura also instructed Jane to pray. After praying for a few minutes Laura felt as if the fog was pushed away and she was surrounded in a bubble of protection. Even with the protection of the bubble Laura was very aware of the darkness just outside of it. Jane was still consumed by it as was the whole bathroom. At that point Laura realized that she was able to communicate telepathically with Jane, and she could feel Jane. Laura was actually full of understanding and knowledge that was not her own. She was telling Jane that they needed to change their lives, that they couldn’t do the things that they had been doing. Then Jane said she needed to vomit. So Laura told her to vomit to get all the darkness out of her. Laura was still praying for her and with her. So Jane was vomiting and it seemed like the more she did the lighter the darkness became until it was gone. As the darkness left, the protection that had surrounded Laura also left. Jane was very weak, and she almost died in Laura’s arms. Her breathing stopped and Laura told God that she was sorry for all the things that she had done and promised to change her ways and help others to do the same. Jane began to breathe again. This experience made Laura realize that the supernatural was real, and if the supernatural were real, God and Satan were also real. She left the Mormon church and eventually became a non religious Christian. She has had many other spiritual experiences since then but this experience was the first that opened up the doors to researching truth, the truth that is all around us, available to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
