How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?
• Proverbs 14:11 -> “The house of the wicked shall be overthrown, but the tent of the upright shall be blessed.”.
I know that, in our days, this looks unfeasible. After all there are many politicians, bankers, judges, police men, etc., who are corrupt and, even thus, they seem to thrive. Nonetheless, see the verse below:
• Zec 5:4 -> “I will bring it forth, says Jehovah of Hosts; and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by My name. And it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall devour it, and its timber and its stones.”.
Although the curse doesn’t hit them all of a sudden overwhelming them, the malediction stays in their homes corroding their life by and by. And the worst is that, most of the people, instead of perceiving that the evil is in their house, they try to get more and more resources of this world thinking that, thus, they will escape from evil (as we can see below):
• Hab 2:9-11 -> “Woe to him who robs evil booty for his house, to set his nest on high, to be delivered from the hand of evil! You have planned shame to your house, to make an end of many people, and are sinning in your soul. For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.”.
But the evil is harbored in their home and there is nothing out that can oust this evil. All delights that the world has to offer can assuage this evil for a while, such as painkillers can mollify the physical pain, but without taking away the cause.
As Israel’s people circumvented Canaan for forty years, most of the people circle their problems, but never goes to the root of the problem.
If everyone tries to sort out their true evil, their house would be blessed and they would perceive that they doesn’t need so much to survive. After all:
• Pro 12:12 -> “The wicked desires the net of evils; but the root of the righteous yields fruit”
• Joh 4:13,14 -> “Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
So, have a good day throwing away all evilness in your life:
