I'm not sure it is quite as simple as that. The disciples did have faith, otherwise they would not have been puzzled as to why they had been unable to cast out that particular demon. After all by faith they had previously cast out many demons. Jesus said their problem was that their faith was too small, but that was as compared with His, not with ours. They had far more faith than we have, as witness their many miracles on a level we know nothing of today. And He then added that that particular kind of demon could only be cast out through prayer (Mark 9.29).

FALSE... there are a few things that can be going on with you
1) you have a reading comprehension problem
2) you are not born again
3)you are a wolf

It is clear that there are different hierarchies of demons, and different levels of faith, and that depth of prayer clearly affects that level of faith..

NO WHERE did Jesus suggest," you aren't praying DEEP ENOUGH".... go read your bible some more....major theological problem on your part.

Something I've been wondering. So many claim demon activities over just about everything. I have no idea how big heaven will be, nor how many angels there are, but there were 1/3rd more than there are. Lucifer took them with him, (or God kicked them out on their butts.)

So there are 7.2 billion people on earth now. Think there's enough for everyone?

Demons aren't omni. Unknown if they die now that they're in a fallen state. They obviously weren't the brightest bulbs in the box, or they wouldn't have rebelled. But how dumb are they?

Dumb enough to tempt Jesus. Do you think they're smart enough to know they already lost? Do you think they're after those that already won? Or would they be more likely to go after the ones who have Godly potential? Why bother God's kids? Got to know they can't win. Maybe tares? Maybe the ones on rocky soil?

Do they have a game plan?

I know. The Bible doesn't talk too much about them, but sometimes I like to blame them because I can't be this dumb. Surely I can read ten verses without my mind wandering off. How hard can that be? But, no, my mind wanders. Can't be me, right?

But then I notice I do the same thing when reading a Reader's Digest joke, so maybe it is me.

So, how many demons are they? Do you think they're like guardian angels? One per person?

I just see them being blamed for everything evil, but I know God knows Man's heart is on evil continually anyway do why bother? (If you're wondering, that's the only one I can prove Biblically. Gen. 6:5.)

So what's it with blaming those losers over every little thing?

(Excuse me. This isn't what kept me up tonight, but it's 5:30 AM and I'm still up, so my mind is buzzing... and rambling. No. I don't drink caffeine. Why do you ask? lol)

Anybody know anything more about them than I do? I'm so lost I'm not even sure Morningstar is Lucifer. I'm not much for spending time thinking focusing on them, quite as much as I'm interested in why others do. What's to gain?

Can't help you with this one. You probably know more about them than I do. Sorry.

You can sit in fear of them if you like. I dont We have authority over them through Christ We are commandd to cast them out. Not run away We dont have a Spirit of fear. I insult them all day long, Do they attack me lol no they run if you do what scripture says. So mant Christian bound in fear. 365 times God tells us do not fea,r fear not, nothing shall harm you. satan is a worm, weaseal ferret. satan and his angels demon have NO power none. Jesus has all power and authority. So thjat means there is none outside of Jesus none. So they have none. They only have what we give them over our lives. satans a clown and you will be shame faced and crying when you see how pathertic he really is. Thats the tears that will be wipped away. Tears of regret.

1 Peter 5:8 ESV

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

2 Corinthians 11:14 ESV

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

Ephesians 6:11-12 ESV

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Does not sound like a "clown" to me. Rather, sounds like something we should take a bit more seriously.

In revelation when Satan gets casts down to the earth he knows that he has but a little time left..so it seems they are aware of their doomed state. LEGION asked Jesus if he came to torment them before the time appointed..so again they seem to know....Yes I believe they have a plan...a study of history reveals a continuing attempt by Satan to be worshipped in man as a God...Horus is Bel is Jupiter is Zeus etc...with various other names under different worldly empires.

I do not sit in fear of demons. I Just abide but what the Bible says on the matter and follow Christs example, show me in the bible where Jesus and the disciples taunt and insults demons. Actully it is the opposite, they are just commanded to leave a persons body in the name of Christ, they are not called names.

Consider this verse again Jude 1:9

Yet, Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

Here we see Gods top angel directly engaged with Satan fighting over the body of Moses, but Michael the Archangel did not even dare to speak one reviling word, but simply states "The Lord rebuke you".

Reviling means to bad mouth, insult, humiliate, verbally abuse and calling bad names to name a few.

So the top angel did not dare to revile, so what gives you the right or extra privileges to insult and call demons names?

God did not even taunt or call Satan names when he presented himself, read Job 1 6-12. Also read the temptation of Christ, did Christ insult Satan? NO.

If you revile a demon while casting it out of someone, then God will remove your protection and you will end up with some serious issues, under no circumstances do you insult demons, let alone Satan. You are playing a dangerous game, so stop with the insults and bad mouthing of demons, if God and Jesus do not insult Satan, then what gives you the right to do so.

You said they were power full and then skip my reply. You totally contradict what scripture says. When you answer that I can answer anything you like . Untill then I await your reply.

Demons know they are in a fallen state- that's why they asked Jesus if He came to punish them before their time, right before they went into a bunch of pigs.

Demons are not very powerful. It takes only one soul made in God's image to control their own body, but it takes legions of demons to control that one body during demon possession. Mostly their power is to make you fear, and to introduce evil ideas to human minds. When the bible talks about things taught by demons, it means a man entertained and accepted an idea that came from a tempting demon, then put it into action by teaching others the lie introduced to his thoughts.

No matter who tempts you to do wrong, it is your free will decision to do it, and if you do, you have only yourself to blame. Simply run away from temptation, and the tempter will quit trying for awhile because he is not patient.

There is only One person you need to fear. Satan can only do what God allows him to, but God is in control of all things. We need to fear to disobey Him, because the fate of all is in His hands.
Legion really was just one story. I suspect it wasn't the only time Jesus removed demons from someone, but it was the most dramatic. I don't think you can build doctrine from one case.

So why is'nt God casting them out? Paul cast them out Peter cast them out and so did all the others, Judas included. We either have authority to do this or not. Surely you reliase we cast them out as we are commanded to do so?
So Peter and Paul did that on their own? We don't need God? Whoa! I've always figured any demon cast out is/was cast out by God.

Nix last question. Obviously you do know the power is through God. So, why the disjointed question?

You said they were power full and then skip my reply. You totally contradict what scripture says. When you answer that I can answer anything you like . Untill then I await your reply.

If you will not clarify for others, why do you expect others to clarify for you?

This seems like something we should study much more.

I think we wrestle against spiritual wickedness in high places. Meaning above us but below God. A spiritual place of darkness. One we have to get through on the way to the Kingdom of God.

I don't think the enemy can bring railing accusations against us anymore. I think the Lord Jesus spoiled that spot for the enemy. What accusations could stand in the presence of our High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ? None that I can think of...

These are just thoughts. They have a little scriptural backing but not enough to be labeled "facts". That's the funny thing about faith is that what it sees as present, now, isn't necessarily our present, now, yet....

I guess what I am saying is that I know we have a fight on our hands but where is our position that we are fighting from? How can we help each other? Everything I know how to do spiritually is ask, wait and rest in the strength of Christ.

Revelation 12:7-11
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

You said they were power full and then skip my reply. You totally contradict what scripture says. When you answer that I can answer anything you like . Untill then I await your reply.

So this is the only response you can muster. I guess you are now clutching at straws to back your claims that it is fine to mock and ridicule demons.

Where have I contradicted what is written in the Bible?

An angel of light appeared to me and told me there are 3 billion 289 million, 674 thousand, 215 of them :p (6,289,674,215)...

2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Im sorry but an angel told me that you are 13 off with your number. Obviously, you should do a little better job of testing spirits. This grevious error on your part is definitely a salvation issue.

I can't remember the last time I thought about the devil and demons. This place seems to be the only place that tends to obsess about this topic, but only a few, not the majority.

I think the Bible is clear who we are to be watching:

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, [SUP]2[/SUP]looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2

Who mentioned watching before you did?

I'm not sure it is quite as simple as that. The disciples did have faith, otherwise they would not have been puzzled as to why they had been unable to cast out that particular demon. It is clear that there are different hierarchies of demons, and different levels of faith, and that depth of prayer clearly affects that level of faith..

Where does it say they had more than us? We all have the measure of faith. The same amount. And its prayer and fasting dont know how you missed that.

I think you are very foolish. If Michael the Archangel feared Satan you would be wise to do so as well, not by living in terror of him, but by recognising that you are dealing with someone of tremendous power.

Why have you managed to get away with it? BECAUSE SATAN IS BOUND (Matt 12.28-29). It is not his power that is lacking, it is constraint by God. Both Satan and his minions want you to see them as weak. Then you will lower your guard. That will then give them the opportunity to deceive you. One important adage in war is 'respect your enemy'. Through ignoring that many have been defeated who should have won.

Whilst Satan is bound you may get away with quite a bit. But one day during this age he will be released (Rev 11.1-9; 20.1-3). Then all of us will certainly need to ensure that our armour is sound.

This is so funny if it was not so serious. Do you have a single scripture to back up this halarity? satan has no power none. Jesus has all power and authority in heaven and on earth . Thats a fact so you are saying satan has some power Jesus never got? show me scripture lol. satan is a joke. Wow I am so scared nowincase he get me lol. forget it. let hin come to me. Please satan come at me with all you have lol. I know who I am in Christ :) Its not even fair for him lol.
