How many heretics have you converted?

How many heretics have you truly converted either in CC chat rooms, or in the forums? I would like to hear your story.
 
Well, most people are dead set in their ways.
But as far as heretical teaching goes......
what can you do but refute it.
Those that are hard are like lignite coal.
But there are some who respond to the truth.......
(I wouldn't label them heretics though)
An heretic is one who is dead set in error.
I've only run across two like this.
But who knows, with truth even they can be changed.
I've had a few change their beliefs about election and having to be perfect.
Mainly it is the readers of the threads that I post for.
(The best is helping someone who is really down on themselves)
Usually those just post once or twice on a single night.
That is the main reason I am here, to help them.

I guess we won't know until we are in Heaven, after we are done being punished with the second death for our sins. <--- only to make a point

Stephen, it is not about who we can convert, that is the Spirit's administration to turn sinners around to Christ, we are to only water, groom, etc... as workers of Christ in His harvest. But when it comes to totally flat-out lies which was stated above, then we, those who will set in judgment seats against this world and angels and be priests and kings in the world to come, must now confront heretical doctrine as those of the 1 Corinthians had to confront their own heretical notiion of allowing a fornicator remain in their midst.

So, how many seeds of God have I watered? I don't know. All I know is that if I have, I will receive my reward in Heaven.
 
I have converted none.

Conversion is an act of God and God alone.
 
I agree with Jimmy on this. I can't convert anyone. I can influence people toward their own conversion but only God can covert. The heretic is deceived and actively working against the truth of God's Word by maligning it both to themselves and others. In most cases that I've observed, they are well-meaning people who were raised to believe lies and are held in bondage to those lies through fear. A very common theme in cults is that they are consistently taught that one loses their eternal salvation if they leave the cult and the cult's heresy. It's a very effective way to keep a person in bondage to heresy.

That said, there are people that are saved in my view that believe heresy. These, of course, are people who wrongly believe what we call non-essential heresies or heresies that don't impact one's salvation.
 
God uses us as earthen vessels.
We partake in Christ's sufferings, and He allows us to be used for His glory.
I preach to people. I get on a lot of people's nerves.
I can't help it,.......the best way is the direct way.
Because we have to cut through the formalities.
People share here in a more forthright manner than they would face to face.
They tend to be blunt in their beliefs here, which I think is good.
Be open, and if there is an offense; it can be cured.
The truth is the truth.
 
I am not sure what you mean by heretic...do you mean someone who has any deviation from the truth of God's word or one who deviates from God's message of salvation...I think a person can be ignorant of God's truth such as believing in evolution which is a lie and still be saved if they have turned to God in love through Jesus and turned from their sins and so not be treated as a heretic but as an unlearned or ignorant person till they come to a better knowledge of God's word...I have taught many people the truth of God's word and His way of salvation but have no idea about the outcome..whether they really do now still believe that Jesus is God and have turned to Him in love and turn from their sins or whether they just pretend to or what has happened in their lives over a long period of time...there are many many heresies that undermine the salvation message...such as the catholic idea that there is more than one way to God other than through Jesus and that is the same for all religions other than christianity...another heresy or lie that undermines the salvation message is the idea that Jesus is just a human and not as divine as the Father and Holy Spirit...there are many many other heresies that need to be fought against

Yes i started out in a charismatic cult(1974) that taught Jesus was NOT GOD!

I was a very popular Prophet and all my prophecies came true...even to my surprise.
Was a assistant leader to the New England area.

To make a long story short a couple university professors and i met
at the Chapter 11 steakhouse from time to time for primerib and bread and wine and
some greek and hebrew lessons for about a season :)

cut to the chase.......i learned what the bible taught and what channeling spirits was.
So yes i was delivered. Amen

So if you pondering if theres hope for the heretic....id say sure.
Theres such a thing as being misled. Especially today.

I don't know that I had heretical views, before I came here, but I have most certainly had my views challenged, and my doctrine sharpened,
and I have considered things I never thought before due to the influence of some of the believers here. :)

For which I am well and truly grateful!

Only a full-blown heretic is a heretic, whether unsaved or previously saved. There are no others. Anything less is is a christian walking in ignorance, whether intentional or not.
 
heretic is simply someone who divides the body with false teaching.
we cant know if its intentional or not. And we are not asked to guess either.

we have instructions from scripture what to do with them.
We are never called to give up on anyone but we dont have fellowship
with them.

If i remember right heresy is the same word as division.

so what you are saying is that someone who believes that Jesus is God and turns to Him in love and turns from their sins who deviates from the truth of God's word cannot be a heretic but only those who are unsaved or given up their salvation are heretics when they deviate from or deny the truth of God's word...I think I can agree with that
 
that would be guesswork in the only area we are forbidden to judge and thats
a mans heart and eternal destiny.

If the teaching is false and not from the gospel we were delivered
it will cause division and we are to mark them and have no company with them.
Thats all we were asked to do.

The saved and unsaved part is not our business.
