God hates the proud,because pride first appeared in Satan before his fall. Not one time did God ever say that he was proud of his beloved begotten Son, no, instead he said,This is my Son, in whom I am well pleased. A true believer's thoughts and conversations are always with God in mind. He is never proud. The opposite of proud is humble. When Jesus said you must humble yourself as a child, he meant just that.
