How the prostitute use her tongue to entice the man (Part 4):

  • "And behold, a woman welcomes to meet him, dressed as a harlot and cunning of heart." (Proverbs 07:10).
  • "So she seizes him and kisses him and with a brazen face she says to him: ““I have spread my couch with coverings, with colored linens of Egypt."" (Proverbs 7:13,16).

Fourth thing: she tries to make everything beautiful and attractive (including herself).

Recall that the eyes are the window of the soul (see Matthew 6.22,23; Luke 11.33-36) and that, the first sin begun in the eye:

  • "When the woman *saw* that the tree was good for food, and that it was a *delight to the eyes*, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate." (Genesis 3:6).

It's no use seeing the things only with our physical eyes:

  • "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” (John 7:24).

We ought to follow the example left by Paul:

  • "while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." (2 Corinthians 4:18).

If we are not being able to do this, let's follow the piece of advice of Jesus:

  • "I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; *and eye salve to anoint your eyes* so that you may see." (Revelation 3:18).

Certainly, after this eye drop, all fleshy beautiness will be dimmed by the beauty that is in the holiness of Jesus (Psalm 29.2; 96.9) and in the New Jerusalem (our mother - Galatians 4.26,29). Go over on Revelation and compare Rev 7.4 with Rev 21.10-22.5. The Great Babylon, that looked like incredible, splendid dressed, richly adorned, obnose beauty, charming, full of elation (she was drunkard), great, in comparison with the New Jerusalem, is picayune, unhappy, miserable, poor, blind and naked (see Rev 3.17).

So, pray and ask the Holy Spirit that uncover to you His magnific alliance with you (Phil 4.19; Eph 3.20; 1Cor 2.9), so ineffable that every suffering in this time will look like nothing (Rom 8.18; 2Cor 4.16 - Obs.: research into 2Cor 11.22-33 for you see what Paul called of light and momentaneous tribulation).

Do this continuously, and you never more will have eyes to the entices of this world. Have a good day musing on this.
