How the prostitute use her tongue to entice the man (Part 7):
- "And behold, a woman welcomes to meet him, dressed as a harlot and cunning of heart." (Proverbs 7:10).
- "So she seizes him and kisses him and with a brazen face she says to him: “For my husband is not at home, He has gone on a long journey; He has taken a bag of money with him, At the full moon he will come home."" (Proverbs 7:13,19,20).
Seventh thing: she suggests that no one will find out any fault (Hosea 12.8).
This is contrary to the order of the Creator:
- "Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord." (Colossians 3:22).
Even if nobody finds out, nothing can be hidden of the Creator (Psa 139:1-12).
- "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary." (Galatians 6:7-9).
Besides, we are the one who is most hurt:
- "But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears from hearing. They made their hearts like flint so that they could not hear the law and the words which the Lord of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets; therefore great wrath came from the Lord of hosts." (Zechariah 7:11-12).
The sin has a vitiating effect:
- “Can the Ethiopian change his skin Or the leopard his spots? Then you also can do good Who are accustomed to doing evil." (Jeremiah 13:23).
- "Proclaim on the citadels in Ashdod and on the citadels in the land of Egypt and say, “Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria and see the great tumults within her and the oppressions in her midst. But they do not know how to do what is right,” declares the Lord, “these who hoard up violence and devastation in their citadels.” (Amos 3:9,10).
The sin is a knife of two edges: we hurt our neighbor (and, consequently, to Jesus) and ourselves.
So, don't allow that the sin marks your forehead or hand (as it does the mark of the beast - Rev 13:17,18); may Jesus and His word mark his forehead and hands (Exod 13:15,16; Rev 14:1; 22:4).
Have a brilliant day, and never think that nobody is seeing:
- "Therefore, since *we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us*, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us," (Hebrews 12:1).
Recall:
- Someone was seeing David when he was fighting against the lion and the bear (other way, how could he to know that David was man of war and that the Lord was with him, being that, in Samuel 16, he was only a pastor of sheep)? (1Sam 16.18; 1Sam 17.34-36). At the right time, the Creator used this boy to begin to exalt David;
- Apparently, all the beneficence of Mordecai and Joseph was forgotten. However, at the right moment, the Creator made the leader of the Persia and Egypt (respectively) recognize them (Esth 2:21,22; 10:2,3; Joseph 40:8-23; 41:38-45).
