Could you explain what you meant by ' born dead ' ? Did you mean in a Calvinist sense ?

He also said he was a door. In context we don't think he meant a literal wooden door with hinges .
Spiritually the door is the entrance to the Father....
and the dead is spiritually....will send something just now...

Like this...from Ecclesiastes...

3 This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

No I'm not . I think its the greatest deception we have within the church , because most believers are influenced by it , to some degree.

Salvation is a gift from God. No flesh shall glory in the presence of God means that no human can go to heaven and boast that he got there through his efforts. You are born again when God grants you the repentance that is deep enough that in your sorrow you turn to Him for forgiveness and strength who then provides us with the knowledge for forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ. He then perfects us through His Holy Spirit who fills our hearts with the same love that is shared by the Father and Son, makes us one with the Father and Son, and makes us part of Jesus' spiritual body. We become new creatures.

We all have presuppositions that we've picked up alongside our bible study, unfortunately.

And that’s the reason why we have the instruction of the Lord....so that we are not led astray...only to get eaten by the lions😊

The key is rightly divided the scriptures. So that we understand the context . Who the writer is addressing, when , why and what . Get just one step wrong in this and you will be way off. We don't read anything else in another way.

Holy Spirit guides us in ALL truth, we are NOT to lean on our own understanding and be misled if and when we "rightly divide" the Word.

Hi Naomi123. I hope that you read all 33 scripture verses that I posted for throughfaith. If that does not convince you that God chooses, there is nothing that I can do. I just leave it to God to convince you. Read, study, and pray so that you can rightly distinguish who the lions are. God bless you in your search.

Posting a bunch of Scriptures that you think match what you believe is not bible study. its called Eisegesis (/ˌaɪsɪˈdʒiːsɪs/) is the process of interpreting text in such a way as to introduce one's own presuppositions, agendas or biases. It is commonly referred to as reading into the text.[1] It is often done to "prove" a pre-held point of concern, and to provide confirmation bias corresponding with the pre-held interpretation and any agendas supported by it.
