How to find the favor of the Creator?
• Pro 18:22 -> “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.”.
Find what? What does it mean to be a wife? And what is the relation between “favor from the Lord” and “find a wife”?
First of all, let’s analyze some verses about how to get the favor from the Creator:
1 – Steadfast love and faithfulness:
• Pro 3:3,4 -> “Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.”.
2 – Hear the wisdom of the Creator:
• Pro 8:34,35 -> “Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors. For whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the LORD,”.
Therefore, to be a wife implies in having steadfast love, faithfulness and continuous permanence in the presence of the Creator hearing and increasing in His wisdom (and, obviously, in His prudence – see Prov 9:10).
Nevertheless, this is a gift of the Creator:
• Pro 19:14 -> “House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.”.
That is to say, the man only will receive a virtuous wife if the Creator gets pleasure in him (pore on Num 14:8; Ps 37:4):
• Psa 128:1,3 -> “Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways! Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.”.
And a woman only can be a prudent wife if she submits herself thoroughly to the Creator and, after getting married, is ready to be initiate a new life along with her husband:
• Psa 45:10 -> “Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear: forget your people and your father's house, and the king will desire your beauty. Since he is your lord, bow to him.”.
And how great blessing is an excellent wife:
• Pro 12:4 -> “An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.”.
Hence Solomon said:
• Ecc 9:9 -> “Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun.”.
So, have a good day seeking, in Jesus, His faithfulness, steadfast love and wisdom, fearing the trembling before Him and, certainly, you will get a blessed home.
