Let us pray for our rulers & for the USA.

But how should we pray for our country?
Should we like Elijah (and possibly Habakkuk) pray for punishment? Should we pray for no rain like Elijah? Perhaps most of us, like myself! are chicken to pray like Elijah.

Or should we just consider that our nation has no covenant with the Lord as Israel did in OT times? Just pray for the salvation of individuals? (Fish in the fish pond instead of trying to clean up the fish pond, though it's getting awful rank?)

Could we have a 3rd Great Awakening? Would that be possible without the nation being forced to its knees?

Each of us can pray for wisdom for how we ought to pray & act (James 1).

"I ask you, Lord, and trust you for the wisdom on how I should pray for the USA, and what I should do for my country."
