That is called perspective.When any part of the sun has moved beyond the 'horizon' ( the "virtual limit" of our eyesight ) - we can no longer see it. As more of the sun moves beyond the 'horizon' - it appears to us to be "setting" -- and, when all of it has moved beyond the 'horizon' - it has set - it is gone from view.

To be honest with you, seeing that kind of reaction convinces me even more of a flat earth especially when they lose control calling you names like stupid, ignorant, naïve, and you name it. LOL

We are taught in elementary school to mock people who believe the earth is flat.
The matrix/satan teaches us to take pride in the fact that "In colombus's day" people use to think you could sail off the edge of the earth! You see how superior you are to them because you know science and they were fools with irrational fears?
And then knowing the entire mob thinks this way, they are even more compelled to not be "one of those people".
Knowing how the federal Reserve operates and their origin, as well as all the conspiracy related to wars, prisons, and the education system, it wasn't a big leap for me to consider yet another lie was told to us and reaffirmed by the controlled society. I never dismissed it as "impossible" or the even worse "why would they do something like that?" And the very worst toxic to my ears " what does it matter?".

I have to say from how I can see things from my thinking.... While I dont personally believe the earth is flat, (Mind you, the Bible mentions the four corners of the earth...) I do believe the way we have been taught does not line up with what we see.
From what I can see is that the earth is either still or relatively still, and all the rest of creation moves around it. I also think the moon and sun are not as far away as we think. I believe that space is a case of large pressures pushing down on the earth as space turns round the earth. High tides are caused through the interruption of this force by the passing of the moon.
It was after I saw a comment made by someone on YouTube regarding that the earth can't be spinning because..... It got me thinking! First they say the speed is around a tad over 1000 mph... If it is the earth that spins we expect to see huge wind and forces on the earths surface. We dont see the effects of such friction next to the earth but we do see them on the outer atmosphere of the earth, hence why rocks burn up at this point.
Even as a child I thought it odd to say the earth spins with the thought, dont be silly! We would all fall off!
I dont see how gravity can work by the earth spinning,but I do see it working by the external forces of what we call space pushing down on the earth.
HAARP works by pushing up the earths outer atmosphere by using a huge amount of energy to do so. This tool can alter weather patterns and much experimenting has been done over the years by doing this.
The Hedron Collider... Something odd about using it as a particle accelerator. However there has been some talk about trying to reverse the magnetic poles of the earth. (Why one would want to do this I dont buy the global warming excuse that is often given). All I'm saying is I consider it a crazy thing to do in either accelerating particles or reversing the magnetic poles.
Now if the earth spins ands this causes gravity, then how is it possible to stand on the north and south pole at all? We would fly off into space!
A lot of thoughts to think about here whichever theory one prefers to consider.
I have a theory as to why we are taught that the earth is spinning as it defends another theory which cannot stand on its own merits, that of evolution...which needs millions of years to sound plausible but by adding these millions, the very concept of change between one species and another seems less and less likely because other elements of such a change come into play such as how they survive during such an in between stage if it is not a quick change? (As the in between change is the most vulnerable) and what causes a creature to decide it needs to change and how does it go about doing it?
Anyway. I've covered a lot of ideas and theory here. I conclude for everybody to take nothing for granted and look at what you see happening, and what theory best lines up to what you see, and if such a theory does not line up,make your own theory! You came do worse then others! (Though make sure it lines up to the Word of God as we know Gods Word it true!)

That is an interesting point! But you'll not be any more convincing by patronizing those of us who believe we've been lied to. It is also impossible for water to curve and every test and experiment shows that water doesn't curve but stays level; that is impossible in Heliocentric system. So don't be so sure you have it figured; also the Bible tells us that God is above the circle of the earth and he stretched the heavens over it like a canopy or tent. We are in a fixed system.
I think it is ridiculous to believe the earth spins at a 1000 miles per hour and orbits the sun at 60,000 miles per hour. Or that the sun is 93 million miles away and so much bigger than the earth and moon. This cannot be proved nor can it be proved that the earth is 5 billion years old. G
od said the circle of the earth not the sphere. There has to be an explanation for the sun not appearing to set at the pole and the water staying level. Until we know the reason, you should refrain from your condescending attitude as if you're are so much smarter than the rest of us dude!

"Lens flare" doesn't address anything. It's an excuse to explain away what your senses perceive.
The sunset you posted displays the sun setting "hard right" from the observer, rather than setting away from the observer. This makes a big difference in the perceived size of the sun and the point being made.

but you can't see Africa from Florida no matter what kind of telescope you have, because the ocean is level, and the ocean is level on the surface of a sphere, and on the surface of a sphere, level means having the same degree of curvature as the sphere's surface. which means curved. which doesn't defy physics: it agrees perfectly with physics, and physics isn't an "heliocentric-only" thing, it's God's own laws of His own creation: physics glorifies Him, but you have to understand it in order to see that.
so in your opinion this picture is indisputable proof that this young man's camera has a flash bulb that is wider than his own head?

If that person close to my age had a camera that was 109 times larger than his head, and walked back an insignificant amount and suddenly it was smaller than his head, I would make the same claim I make about our sun.

During June and the summer months the sun and moon orbit the yellow circle:
If you are near the center of this circle you will see the sun revolve all day until it moves further away, and eventually when it is at the orange line you it will be continuous night/darkness because the sun is too far away.
This corresponds with this: In Svalbard, Norway, the northernmost inhabited region of Europe, there is no sunset from approximately 19 April to 23 August, and no sunrise between November 14 and January 29.
