How to put an end to a quarrel?
In the Old Testament there was a custom, to wit, put lots:
• Pro 18:18 -> “The lot puts an end to quarrels and decides between powerful contenders.”.

At first, this sound unjust, cruel. Well, if this decree wasn’t issued, Jesus would have been born in Nazareth and the prophecy would fail.
So, although this decree was arbitrary, this was the way that the Creator provided to convince Joseph go to Bethlehem. Otherwise, he, for sure, never would take Mary to a journey.

• Jer 10:23 -> “I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.”.
If we keep in mind this truth all the time, we will never bicker with anybody. Instead, understanding that it is Jesus who is behind all decision, let’s try to figure out His message for us amidst all injustice against us.

• Pro 16:7 -> “When a man's ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”.
So, considering that our fight is against flesh and blood (Eph 6:10-13), have a good day rendering your life to Jesus’ will, regardless if something sound like unrighteous. Remember how cruel and mean was the attitude of Judas (to whom Jesus loved until the last moment, even though He knew that He was betraying Him – Mat 26:50). However, this was necessary so that the Holy Scripture could fulfill and, thus we could be saved.
