perfect mc99! just let me just chip in something. The faith by which we respond (receive) salvation like you have just stated, is the faith of God, not ours( Gal 2: 20) Take note is said in this passage, that its the by the faith OF the son of God and not by faith IN the son of God; The glorious gospel of our lord provides us with the faith to believe. thus faith in the new testament is not a requirement for salvation but the consequence of salvation.
