i found a way to get pleasure by myself since my bf left without needing to pleasure myself

Jesus said who ever looks after a women to lust after her has commited adultery in his heart in Matt. 5:28.
Sex outside of marriage is fornication. It's very clear throughout scripture that that is the case.
I'm so freakin tired of seeing 'Christians' make excuses about the commandments in order to see how 'far they can go'.

Your either serious about Jesus or your not. You either love Jesus and keep his commandments or you don't. If you have a girlfriend that your lusting after and fornicating with your in sin. Period.
Repent and stop. Honor marriage, and stop being a hippocrite.

Now, I want you to pay attention. Jesus said "has committed ADULTERY". Adultery is a synonym for an affair which is reserved only for folks that are already married. If you are single, you CANNOT commit adultery.

If you are single and you have sex with another single person, then you have committed FORNICATION because it is outside of marriage. Adultery and fornication are NOT synonymous. Jesus does not condemn anyone that is single from looking at another single woman with lust, as long as you don't act on it. He does, however, condemn married men from looking at women that are not their wives.

Now, before you begin your rebuttal, if we go b y your line of thinking, then it is also a sin to look at your spouse with lust. Silly right? Well, that not true because you can't commit ADULTERY with your wife, right? Well, single people can't commit adultery either. Case closed.

Hypocrite? Please explain. Ad hominem not a very sound rebuttal. I think this is just a hard concept for you to grasp because so many people perpetuate falsely that it is a sin to be sexually attracted to a unmarried person of the opposite sex.

I may have spoken too brashly, so I apologize for the name calling. I just makes me so mad when people try to justify things they know are wrong. Lusting after anyone who isn't your MARRIAGE spouse is wrong. You know it, I know it.

Again, you need to prove that it is wrong. If you can find it in the bible, then I will concede, otherwise you are simply showing willful ignorance.

I think you should re post this thread in the ladies forum, I think you'll get better advice there because it seems to be mostly guys posting in here and men and women strugle with this a little differently. And don't go arguing people that they don't, men and women have different body chemistry and we think differently about stuff. I think advice form women is your better option :)
 
i agree with blue3falcon.
women might be of better assistance in this particular case. i mean. in a way it's nice that we can be open about such a sensitive topic. but there are SO many who justify it.

i don't know what to tell you exactly bc there is no easy fix. it's a fight. we need weapons. i personally came dangerously close to giving in JUST LAST NIGHT.
and in my head- i can't even believe that i was- but i was justifying it. 'ehhh. whatever. it's not really wrong'

but on the plus side. i didn't give in. i stopped. and i do believe it's wrong. and today is day 84 for me (yes i'm counting) of fighting the good fight and winning. but i can't even count how many times i've lost in the past.

God set me free from masturbation for 6 years. so i know that it is possible to walk in freedom. don't give up fighting. that's my best advice. a righteous man/woman falls seven times and gets back up.

i also tried the journaling method afterward. (self psychiatry) that helped a little. wrote myself a note. hey truthie. you just did it again. you feel low, dirty, empty, unsatisfied, and guilty. remember this feeling.
we're in a fight to not let any sin separate us from God.
it's continual.

just ask God for strategies. bc for each of us it will be unique- the way He delivers us. but He WILL deliver us. when we let Him.

Cracked had an interesting article on how fear of masturbation shaped American culture. Everything from the existence of the YMCA to Kellogg's cereal (yeah it was really invented to supposedly keep people from becoming "over excited." Kellogg had an odd obsession on the matter). Not that this has much to do with anything but it's still an interesting article I recommend taking a look at.

Honestly I've found if you've decided it's wrong and you don't want to do it then it's a matter of keeping yourself busy and distracting yourself with other things. Find something that really interests you like a favorite hobby, or something you can easily turn your attention to when the desire arises. It's not an easy task so I also recommend keeping in touch with other women who deal with the same problem. Good luck in your struggle.
 
This is too ambiguous? Do you mean masturbation? IF so, just do it, no will harm will come your way. I can actually assure you of that. In fact, it helps relieve anxiety, strengthens your immune system, and just generally makes things better for you.

Trying to justify lust is pointless really, our conscience tells us we shouldn't be doing it. There are things not written in the Bible specifically as sins, but we still shouldn't look for ways to make them acceptable.......

As for the original topic, for me, coming to a knowledge of God's love and grace has helped majorly to defeat sin in my life.......I used to think I need to stop sinning so God will love me, now I know, through Christ even if I do sin God loves me, I am righteous and innocent in His sight, and there is no condemnation coming from Him.
This empowers us to overcome sin more, than if we think we have to stop sinning to earn favour with Him.

Just as Christ didn't have to commit a sin to become sin, so we don't have to do righteous deeds to become righteous.
From that freedom there's no more have to, but more I want to please God........!!

All lust is wrong. Jesus clearly states in Matthew 5:28, But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Your brother's and sister's do well to tell their shortcoming's, but i have not heard the same from you.

Do you consider those who are not as you? Or do you cause them to fall as far as you?

Discount your thoughts and who see's your heart?

How far will your desires take you before you listen?
