How will you know when you need to stop?

When u are fighting for that only thing that u want in life, are u just going to give up when circumstances comes and things dont go in your way or u will still continue even if the future seems unclear and its already building hurts and distrust?!
 
As a Christian, I would ask God if this thing is something I want out of selfishness, or if it's His will for my life. And ask Him for peace and guidance.
 
"...we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

I know (or, at least, I think I know) what I want, but only time and His will will bestow upon me the conviction as to whether to pursue it or not. Believer or not, I hope that any and all will always have or find hope, and will strive to persevere regardless of circumstances.
 
as a christian, the first and foremost you should want in your life is christ. if he is not first then what you really want will fall apart to begin with.
