For CC members who aren't aware I'm ignorant of things, trying to learn through fellowship lol. I got a curiosity about a friend's acquaintance or friend. He was a missionary and he travelled to Asia. Upon going there and teaching the word of God, a boy, a monk, wanted to be Christian really bad, but the man replied that "how would you survive?" But soon enough the boy gave his life to the Lord. This man didn't stay...

It makes me wonder in Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV), it talks about the great commission.

Go thereforeand make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

This is a message for all of us, but to the missionaries and such, how would the people they teach keep their faith? It draws us to the same question as if you were dropped off on an island with a bible idea...How would people survive spiritually and grow in Christ such as this monk who had no access to church, fellowship or maybe not even another Christian.

GOD is above all things.

If it is His Will then it will be so.

Hi Bryan, I live about 300 kilometers (2hr drive) from the Laos and Myanmar (Bermese) boarder. My wife and I attend a local missionary Church near our home. Our Church has an outreach program that provides for the physical and spiritual needs of Northern Thailand Hilltribe people such as the Karen, Lahu, Hmong, etc. There is also a government sponsored program to help provide employment assistance for legal emigrants from those countries as well.

But your question is good, how do they keep their Faith? I believe that Loveme1's statement is correct, "God is above all things" and He has promised to never fail or forsake His own. God bless!

"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you."
 
How does anyone survive? By the mercy of God. God may call upon some to lay down their lives for His glory. In all things God supplies all that we need. Paul was told by God that "My grace is sufficient for thee." Some by dying will accomplish far more than many who live a long time.
Trust the Lord. He feeds the sparrow and clothes the lily will He not care for those for whom He sent His only begotten Son?
