Hi everyone.

I have been feeling down and depressed, worthless, and angry so much. I feel nothing but regret of my past and ashamed to some of the stuff I've done and un-wanted. All my hope has gone down the drain and I have lost connection with God as well now my dad for what he said to me, making me feel like I make his life a living hell and wont accept me in his house because of power bills and Lord know's what ever else is an excuse for him using money for providing. I just need help. I need guidance. And I am opening up to everyone beccause I trust people on this site and love the people here. So please help me :(

Friend, sometimes it is easy to give advice to someone without really knowing how the person is feeling. And it is much harder to do so through this site than it is person to person.

But I want to tell you something. No matter what your situation is, how hard it looks or impossible to solve, this life starts in the blink of an eye and ends in the blink of an eye. Our death is imminent and could certainly come at any moment because we really don't know what could happen next. This is a reality, we can't determine exactly when we will die. We are all appointed die at once in our lives.

After you have died, you no longer have time to worry about the worries of this life because you've passed on to the next. Once you are there you can't go back. Before that happens you must know that you know where you are going to spend eternity, because all humans are going to face that reality, hundreds of thousands do everyday.

The sacrifice that Jesus Christ did on the cross for you completely erases the consequence of our sinful nature, which is eternal separation from God. Thanks to Him you can know that you know that you will be with the Father for eternity. Jesus said He is the way(you must follow Him), the truth(you must trust Him), and the life(you must let Him live in you).

My friend, I am here to tell you that in Christ I have found hope like no other. Because I have realized that the troubles and riches of this life are only temporary. And I have come to the knowledge that the creator of the universe, the almighty, all knowing and wise God humbled Himself, and sacrificed Himself for all of us. Can you understand how much He loves us? He loves you more than anyone else could ever do. Not only that, He wants to keep you forever in His presence, where nothing and no one could ever harm you. God knows you are not perfect, that is why He offered Himself for us. He is patient, kind, and full of mercy and waiting for you always to repent and to draw near to Him. It is Him who gives you the strength, hope, joy, and peace to keep living. I have tried to find all of this in drugs, friends, girls, music, and many other things and have miserably failed. I have only found all of these things in Him, and He is more than willing to give all these things to you in your time of trouble. All you must do is come to Him and by faith believe His word and His promises, and know that in any situation, if you have believed in your heart that He truly died for you, was raised from the dead, and ask Him to do His will in your life, you can be sure that you will be with Him for eternity.

Friend please seek God, He alone gives peace and hope.

God bless you!

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

Are you a marine? bc if you are i definately know what you are going through.

nvm, i just read your profile. We are still in a very similar situation. I used to feel almost the exact same way, and still do occasionally. Is the way you're feeling have anything to do with you being in the military? How long have you been in?

My life,
Has led me down the road that’s so uncertain
And now I am left alone and I am broken,
Trying to find my way,
Trying to find the faith that’s gone
This time,
I know that you are holding all the answers
I’m tired of losing hope and taking chances,
On roads that never seem,
To be the ones that bring me home

Give me a revelation,
Show me what to do
Cause I’ve been trying to find my way,
I haven’t got a clue
Tell me should I stay here,
Or do I need to move
Give me a revelation
I’ve got nothing without You
I’ve got nothing without You

My life,
Has led me down this path that’s ever winding
Through every twist and turn I’m always finding,
That I am lost again (I am lost again)
Tell me when this road will ever end
[Revelation Lyrics On Music Lyrics ]
Give me a revelation,
Show me what to do
Cause I’ve been trying to find my way,
I haven’t got a clue
Tell me should I stay here,
Or do I need to move
Give me a revelation
I’ve got nothing without You
I’ve got nothing without…

I don’t know where I can turn
Tell me when will I learn
Won’t You show me where I need to go
Oh oh
Let me follow Your lead,
I know that it’s the only way that I can get back home

Give me a revelation,
Show me what to do
Cause I’ve been trying to find my way,
I haven’t got a clue
Tell me should I stay here,
Or do I need to move
Give me a revelation
I’ve got nothing without You
I’ve got nothing without You

Oh, give me a revelation…

I’ve got nothing without You
I’ve got nothing without You"

Your answer is in your own post friend. You said, "I am opening up... please help me." The fish in the middle of the school is always safest. You are God's fish. Find a spirit-filled loving Christian assembly and put yourself RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THEM with an accepting and humble attitude and you'll pull through.

May you enter into the Rest that Jesus promised.

May Jesus bless you.

Psalm 34:18

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

I pray that Jesus carry you through this rough time. Trials are a part of the Christian life and these are the times that we know Jesus is with us the most :D

Guy, (good posts here)

You feel . . .

But you are: valued, respected, accepted, valueable, capable, desireable, fortunate . . .

Also, your dad's grumpy? You're a man, give something. (He values you - sure it's more than he can say right now, but believe me. And he wants it to work. Actually, you're only two steps away from one of the best relationships in your life. Best wishes to you.)

Thank you everyone for your input and support! I saw these remarks and was truly taken by what everyone said. God bless you all!!

Maybe this won't help much, but I do kinda know what your feeling. I have a friend who watch's the most horrible movies, listens to the worst music and comedians. He is so angry all the time and rude and always complaining about life in general. He has no religion in his life. His family is very religious but he doesn't want anything to do with it.
I on the other hand have had times when I seriously have considered suicide(I hate admitting that, because I am ashamed), I suffer from extreme depression. All I ever wanted to do it sleep. It's not easy, but when I start feeling like that I just pull out my bible and start reading. Usually in Psalms, but I sometimes just flip the bible open and start reading and I always feel so much better and I KNOW God has a plan for me and I need to be alive for that.
My friend has actually told me that I am the sunshine is his life(maybe he's just flirting with me, lol), that he looks forward to coming to work just because I can make him laugh and I'm the only person who puts up with his whining all the time and just ignores it. So I always think, If I'm in a bad mood who will get -- to laugh, or something along those lines. I guess what I am trying to say is Be happy for others and you will be happy yourself. Things will work out in the end. Life isn't easy at all. But the times when it is, take advantage of them.

Depression is hard but your comforter is near the guilty feelings and depression are temporary at best but the Holy Spirit is with you if you believe in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. That said if you ask you will receive. all things though they may seem negative at the moment God works out good from them. May the lord bless you.

Even if your own father does not love you, you have the Heavenly father who loves you no matter what. Right now I am feeling a bit emotional while reading your message. I know to some it might sound generic, but GOD LOVES YOU my brother. And whatever is happening to you right now is not a punishment of whatever you have done in the past. This is an opportunity for you to experience the loving mercy of God! He is willing to embrace you not only in trial but also in comfort :) I'll be praying for you my friend and I have faith that you will feel His warm embrace in these times of tribulation :D

Don't be ashamed to have considered suicide. Especially if you suffer with severe depression. I've been down that road myself. Letting your past shame you only hinders who you are as a person now, and may also hinder what you allow God to do through you. I try to take my past and grow from it, see my mistakes and learn. Or, let God use me to use my mistakes to help others. God has used me to help a number of people on this site, but if i didn't have my past, all those things i did wrong, i wouldn't be of use to these people. I wouldn't have the knowledge, or understanding i do.
So really, you have a choice, use your past as shame and regret, like a shovel, digging yourself deeper. Or use your past as stepping stones to move you forward. As a friend once told me 'you are not your past'.

Have you tried seeking medication to help you? I have used anti-depressants in the past and it was really helpful and allowed me to solve my problems with a clear mind.

Semper fi. Marine corps/gods army. We are are soldiers for christ. In the marines we battle enemies we can see. In gods army we can not see our enemy. But he can see us. Us ex military should understand spiritual warfare as well or better than anyone. Depression and persecution are weopans used against you. Study godss armor and grow stronger. In the meantime have othets lift you up in prayer till you can fight the battle again. Your circumstance is your purple heart now get up and get your medal of honor

Hi there. It looks like you posted this story several months ago. How are things going for you now? Your story especially touched me because I feel as you do. I have been an angry, depressed person for a long time. I felt that I had been betrayed by so many and was quick to push people away. I am done with it. At this point in my life, I feel far away from God, that my spirit is lost and it's like a hurricane inside. I know he is always waiting for me with open arms. He is wanting me to see that I am beautiful and loved. Its hard to feel that when my faith is low but I need to remember to walk with Jesus thru the happiest and most devastating moments in my life. Please take care and know that you are loved more than you will ever know. You have a Father who would give the ultimate sacrifice in order to be with you forever. God Bless you.
