i don't know if you're still there or not, but let me witness to you anyhow! If you are going to be a follow of Jesus Christ, your must read (in the Original Authorized King James Version Bible/ it is the best because it is still in the original text with minor wording differences for the original Greek New Testament Bible). Read Acts chapter 2 verse 38 through 39! It is the only way to true salvation in God! You must repent (ask God to forgive you for all of your sins, the ones you know and unknown), be baptized in Jesus' name, and wait for God to fill your spirit with the gift of the Holy Ghost!
Even the baptism is so important! Because it is the only formula under the sun that God has given us to remit our sins! (wash them away that we may be blameless when we stand before God!) Many pastors and disciples conduct baptisms incorrectly (so you better be careful and watch out for false prophets!) because they use the exact words in the book of Matthew chapter 28 and verse 19 literally! Instead of understanding the message within it! At baptism they may say, "We baptize you, in the name of the Father, in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Ghost,... and then immerse you into the baptism tank, but this is scripturally wrong! The correct way to baptize is to say, "We baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!" Because Jesus is the Father, He is the Son, and He is the Holy Ghost! There are not 3 individual persons on three thrones in the Godhead! There is ONE! WHO HAS MANIFESTED HIMSELF IN THREE DIFFERENT WAYS AND POSITIONS IN WHAT WE CALL TIME! The book of Isaiah declares in the 45th chapter and the 5th verse 'I am the LORD, AND THERE IS NONE ELSE, THERE IS NO GOD BESIDE ME. Verse 6 says, 'That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, THAT THERE IS NONE BESIDE ME. I AM THE LORD, AND THERE IS NONE ELSE! Read it for yourself! Other scriptures that prove to you that Jesus was God Almighty come to us in the fleshly likeness of men is 1 Timothy chapter 3 and verse 16! It says, AND WITHOUT CONTROVERSY GREAT IS THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, JUSTIFIED IN THE SPIRIT (we know only Jesus was justified in the Spirit), SEEN OF ANGELS, PREACHED UNTO THE GENTILES (we know the apostles preached CHRIST to the Gentiles), BELIEVED ON IN THE WORLD (there are people who believe in the name of Jesus everywhere), RECEIVED UP INTO GLORY (Jesus Christ is the only man to ascend up into heaven; which is glory!). So the pieces to the puzzle are there, but you have to read it in your BIBLE for YOURSELF! Don't just take what people tell you. Ask them to show you where the bible says it. If they can't, they are a false prophet! Keep reading in the book of Acts and you will see in Acts chapter 10 and verse 48 that Peter (the chief apostle) baptized these people in the name of the Lord who was Jesus! In the book of Acts chapter 19 and verse 5 Paul (an apostle) baptized these people in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! (Why not Father, Son, and Holy Ghost?) Because they understood that these were all titles and not names. I have a husband who is a son, but that is not his name. I have a father, but that is not his name! They already understood that Jesus was God Almighty come to redeem us back to Himself! Even the Messianic Jews today understand this! Ask them what the name Emmanuel means? From the book of Matthew chapter 1 and verse 23? It says that they shall call his name Emmanuel, being interpreted, GOD WITH US! Not 'A' God with us. But GOD with us! These scriptures will help you understand true baptism for your salvation. But you have to read them for yourself. Because without a true correct baptism THERE IS NO SALVATION! Jesus said in the book of Mark chapter 16 and verse 16, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved..." So it is seriously important to your soul's salvation!
