I really need some advice on this. I feel like I’m living a double life. I’m a Christian, but I feel like I don’t have any definite standards or beliefs. I get so easily swayed by stuff. It’s kind of hard to explain. I’m at the point in my life where my parents really aren’t setting the rules that much, and I have to decide what’s right and what’s wrong to say, wear, etc. The problem is, I don’t know exactly what I think is right or wrong. I mean, I do have some definite convictions like abstinence, but on other things I keep swaying back and forth. One day I can hardly wait to read the Bible, but the next day I’m doubting God. I always tend to say and do things that I regret. I don’t want to be mean or snobbish or flirty, but then I say and do things that are. I feel like I’m lying to people when I tell them I like or believe this or that because my convictions and opinions are constantly changing. I never used to have many friends, but the more I start fitting in with the rebellious reckless attitude, I get more friends. I don’t go for the cheap style with the sleazy clothes and sex, but I really get pulled in by the rich suburban/city snobbish style. I hear about kids who do wrong things like have a big party in someone else’s big mansion that’s for sale and no one lives there, ending up trashing the place; and I find myself thinking “hey that sounds like fun.” I want to be a person who’s nice and has convictions, but I never am. I’m so addicted to the live like there’s no tomorrow rebellious attitude with the loud music, fast-pace, and guys. Idk, I feel like I’m turning into someone that I don’t want to be. I really need some advice on this.

I understand u perfectly, everyone has probably gone through dat b4. Well I ave, it's the time when everything bad seems good to u..lol. i know dat feeling.

But u should know what the bible says, Rom 12:2 says we shouldn't be conformed to dis world. Look the bible has it's standards. The day you confessed Jesus as Lord, you decided to let go of the world it's desires and everything dat has to do with it.And dis should always be ur driving force. Moreover, bible says that whoever wants to follow Jesus will have to take up his or her cross daily.

It is your ability to resist all these things, ur ability to be dat nice person u want to be, ur ability to say "NO I WANT TO LIVE MY LIFE PERFECTLY FOR CHRIST" dat makes u a christain..

And really, try talking to some1 close to u like ur pastor, anybody and also Pray.. God bless u and u can be sure u have my prayer backings... I'll intercede on ur behalf..

I KNOW WHAT YOU ME I HAVE GONE THROUGH THIS BUT I CONSTALY PRAY FOR GODS HELP
JUST PRAY ABOUT IT AND ASK GOD FOR HELP TOMAKE YOUR FAITH STONGER AND GET YOU THROUGH YOUR DOUBTS
AND DISTRACTIONS.

I WILL KEEP YOU IN MY PRAYERS

I love the way God so plainly puts it here in Genesis 4:7 - "If you do what is right, Will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.".

Overcoming sin is something we are put to the test on everyday. We are told sin actually "Desires us", what we need to make sure of is our desire for Christ is always greater then any desire sin has for us, or us for it. I believe any sincere Christian is constantly waging war with sin within their own minds. Paul says "...we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians) 10:5. My advice to you is to be spending as much time as you can in reading and prayer. Read his word as much as you can and pray the same likewise. Just know Christ. Read to know him. Pray to know him. Cause when you know him you cannot help but fall in love. And when you fall in love with Christ you fall in love with his way of life and he comes and lives within you to inspire the same desires as he and to discern what he wants for you, and what he guides you away from for your own safety.

Always keep an open heart to The Lord throughout the day and be communicating with him, ask him to be with you continually through the day; pouring out on you strength, obedience, and his very own divine knowledge and wisdom to see situations and temptations for what they really are. A hunger to live for the things God loves and a holy hatred towards the things God hates.

Really press on to know him, cause at as young an age as 15, learning these things early on will benefit you and in fact others you could potentially share with greatly, I will pray for you.

(and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe. - 1 Timothy 4:10

It gets hard, but pray sister that the Lord will give you strength everyday to stand for Him.
ground yourself deeper in the word of God and study and ask for wisdom and knowledge.

I will pray for you

That was beautiful my friend. Thank you. May Jesus bless you.

Pray for God to show you a way out and He will make a way for you and show it to you. You will probably have to change little by little and not all at once, but every tiny little sacrifice you make to honor God will not go unrewarded.

Trouble chases sinners, while blessings reward the righteous. - Proverbs 13:21 NLT
