Well, you're all wrong...although the pizzas that you described are indeed very good.
Someone who I graduated high school with actually owns (owned?...I'm assuming that they're still in business) Pizzaland in NJ, and they have the best pizza ever. It's actually the pizzeria where scenes from "The Sopranos" were shot.

I've never even heard of anyone putting salami on a pizza before, and I'm half Italian, and I've eaten a lot of salami over the years.

I just like pineapple in general, and I don't have any problem whatsoever with putting it on pizza.
In fact, I once had some chocolate-covered pineapple, and that was quite good.

Now, that sounds a bit weird to me, and I actually love raisins.
Would I ever try it?
I guess so, but it doesn't sound very tempting to me. More like something that I'd have to endure after accepting a challenge or something.
I'm fine with fresh tomatoes on a pizza, and I have had that before as well.
Anyhow, since we're on the topic of pizza, my favorite combination of toppings is mushrooms and black olives.
I once dated a woman from Finland, and over there they put shrimp on pizza.
Shrimp (or bacon) is probably my favorite food on the planet, but I'm not sure that I would like it on a pizza.
If nothing else, now I'm craving pizza!

I do not recall what all else was on that particular type besides pumpkin and sunflower seeds
They made quite a few very tasty alternatives to your standard fare. Szechuan chicken, anyone?
Many people seem to like pepperoni, but that would pretty much be a last choice for me...
Hawaiian was a long time fave, but as I've aged I eat less ham... and a lot less less shrimp, also.

Instead, it's much more in line with what you just said about it being "really almost tasteless".
Why would I want to eat something that is tasteless?
My mom used to make a lot of zucchini when I was growing up (well, growing up in theory, but not necessarily in practice...lol), and I remember having to douse it with salt because it was like eating boogers (not that I ever ate boogers...well, maybe once...lol) without it.
