and what truth all i have seen is you trying to bash someone.

we are not really discussing anything. we are stating our views of a person. not trying to discuss how many angels can dance on a pin head.

like i said myself and Zone don't see eye to eye on every topic however she has not given me any reason to doubt her sencerity or love for Christ.

If you read thru the last 2-3 years of postings on this forum, you'd understand why some people act the way they they do. I understand 'cause I've already walked about 50 miles in those shoes.

One thing I can say about this thread......It's been educational.

I've learned you can't always trust those who are on a certain side of an issue. Sometimes in here it's like watching the good cop/bad cop scenario, making someone larger than life by playing the part of an ignorant, blundering enemy so that the other looks 120% superior. Then people with their assumptions (not studying their Bible, of course) conclude the "superior" is correct.

That's the way you make forum heroes (the "superior" right), and enemies of those heroes (wrong). This way, the actual truth is easily bypassed, & the false teacher comes out on top as the winner.

What I'd like to know is who's the producer of this "show", & what's their agenda?

You might think I'm way out there on this, but this everyday battle is bigger than you think. Much bigger.

I wouldn't confuse absolute devotion with appreciation for someone who can make a good case and has demonstrated their merits exhaustively.

OH LAWD, SHE BEES DE DEVIL

If she gave that powerful will over to following only God, Zone would listen to the same people RedTent listens to.... particularly in respect to Old Testament practices and rituals. Would that be a fair summation ?
Are you caught up in particularly not reading OT scripture? What if someone said only the New Testament was necessary, ignore all the rest of scripture. Or Leviticus, Numbers and Isaiah are important, ignore the rest of scripture. Would you take their word that they know God in either case?

Cucumber sandwiches? IS that some kind of insult where you're from?
huh??....oh, okay..you from another part of the world like me, no it is not an insult!.....in England the posh and Queen have a thing they call tea-time where they traditionally drink tea with their little fingers pointing up and eat cucumber sandwiches...or so I'm led to believe....and that concludes today's lesson.

btw...why do you think it was intended to be an insult?????

I don't particularly like cucumber.

This is what I call hitting the nail on the head!! I bring up and push what the OT says about God because I see so much of one sided understanding, saying these things are nothing. So I am accused to not understanding about the wonders of Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is as if knowing all of God is out. You can't trust only OT people, and you can't trust only NT people. Trust must be in scripture and what it says. Zone has her tail in a knot because I see what God was telling the OT people with rituals and think we should learn that. To her, learning this of God is using rituals instead of Christ. Christ freed us. Christ did not give ritualistic orders about how to worship Him such as you must never use rituals at all, except to understand His saving power is not in rituals.

The NT is Christ Jesus' revelation.

And we learn there that it is not honoring to God to practice what is not authorized there.
We learn there that such practice is really worldly (not of the new creation or authorized by God)
will-worship (authorized by man only). (Col 2:22-23; Gal 43;, 8-11: Col 2:8, 17, 20; Heb 10:1

So Christ Jesus does give orders not to practice what is not authorized for the NT.

Zone - I just gotta love ya. It's not easy, popular of fun to expose false doctrines and to expound at least on your heartfelt beliefs. After more than 20 thousand posts it is little wonder one can get tired. I wonder about your thoughts on the lack of spiritual gifts, as I often see your testimony and teaching as just that - spirit inspired. I have been moved from time to time to do further reading and research because of your posts and appreciate that sort of challenge to all of our understandings. While I may not agree with all you teach or say, it is respectable and you are certainly open to discussion of the more serious sort on this forum. For me, it is mostly little [albeit important] nuances of understanding that seem to be a stumbling block to a fuller agreement. Perhaps a short term change of venue, a compilation of your notes here and sharing with a different, perhaps broader audience would do you and the world a bit of good.

Feel free folks to add your insightful and thoughtful comments on what Zone may have given you pause on to reconsider a false teaching or false teacher or an earful on doctrinal truths. Perseverance is certainly a noteworthy trait.

Let's not forget what this is really about.
