I don't understand why Adam and Eve ate th fruit in th garden... I mean they had plenty of fruit! It wasn't lik their was a cookie hanging in th tree, then mayb i'd hav some understanding.

I don't understand why scientist are so reliable to so many people... I mean when havn't they been wrong?

Finally, I don't understand why some people wear th wrong shoes with their clothes... Messes up th whole look of th outfit

Pipp, if you come to Australia, I'll show you why. Few people I know are afraid of the non-venomous variety but we have the highest number of deadly snake species in the world.

But, while I'm here, there are a few things which escape my understanding ...

I don't understand:

... why the skin of corn kernels are so hard to get out of your teeth with just your tongue (from eating popcorn)

... why jobs that give you Sundays off and Wednesday nights off are so hard to find

... why my Chevy Cavalier is the worst car in the entire world

... why others can beat the bonus stage in Klonoa (Wii Version) and I can't

... why Nintendo hasn't said anything about remaking Majora's Mask in spite of the fact that there is a huge outcry for a remake

... why there is such a small influence of the gospel in the country of Japan

... and I don't understand how to know for sure if that girl in the public library likes me or what?! (Since she looks at me alot)

I'm sure I'll figure it out someday.

That's because topics about being single do not encompass the entirety of this forum's purpose, my friend. :) If the forum was about talking about singleness, it would be called the "singleness" forum. But the title "singles" refers more to the main intended demographic. It's more like the internet equivalent of a young adult /singles group at church. Sure, we can talk about singleness and all that goes along with that (and we do..often!), but we also discuss God's Word, fellowship with one another, share prayer requests, and basically share our lives with one another. We get to know one another through both serious and candid conversations so that we are better equipped to love one another, sympathize with one another, edify one another and pray for one another. God is our Father and we are all brothers and sisters. We are not limited to one topic here, because there's so much more to life than that.

I'd love to get to know you better, too, brother. I hope you feel free to join in on some of our other threads. :)

The concept of a suffering, human/God and grace are very difficult for those raised in the Japanese culture to understand. Also, the killing of all the Christian missionaries hundreds of years ago, probably didn't help to endear the Japanese to Christianity or latter Christians to visit Japan, only to be killed.

Well, I'm not too sure about wednesdays, but as far as sundays, unfortunately the concept of setting Sundays aside for the Lord is foreign to a great many businesses. It's all about the money. If you're currently on the hunt for a job, I'll be praying for you. Good for you for searching for a place that lets you take Sundays off. :)

Not quite sure about this one either.. but Japan specifically is on my prayer list. Some of my close family friends are missionaries there, and they have an incredible music ministry there that actually draws in lost souls under the premise of joining a gospel choir. Many of them join without understanding the meaning behind the lyrics, but over time the Truth penetrates their hearts! The power of the Word is incredible. :)

... why the so called King James Only people (my brethren) haven't wholeheartedly received the Reina Valera Gómez as the true, inspired, preserved words of God in Spanish

... why judging sin has become worst in our eyes than actually committing the sin

... why people repeat "Father God" or "Lord" when praying (Remind me Who I'm praying to?)

... why we ask God to bless the food we're about to eat and it's fast food burgers and sodas charged with high fructose corn syrup (haha I confess, I got these from Blimey Cow)

... why everything always seems to go up in price, but nothing ever goes down

... why I haven't found any Christian girls my age here (this one's the weirdest)

I'm sure there are alot of things that confuse me.
