We know that we who are saved will live forever with the Lord, but why do you love being a christian at THIS very moment? What difference does it make in your life on a daily basis?

Everything. How my life plays out on a daily basis is dramatically different from two years go.

That I'm free from the invisable shackles of sin.

The load of life on my shoulders is lighter then what it used to be. I don't have to be afraid, scared, lost, lonely, doubtful, unsettled, angry, bitter, and confused.
 
Thanks, Jimmy and Kooper. :) Can you imagine what unbelievers reading these forums think when a thread like this is nearly empty? wow....

My answers:
- I'm NEVER alone
- I don't have to have all of the answers
- God makes good things come from my bad things
- He gives me strength
- He gives me wisdom
- He gives me peace
- He gives me purpose and helps me to understand that the things I do in this life may seem under-appreciated, but HE saw it and it mattered
 
There are times when it seems my whole foundation in the way at which I look at things in life and just genuinely think through scripture is shaken, and it feels as though I'm left with no absolute knowledge other than Christ and him crucified. Yet even in simply that by itself, the basic gospel message; I find lays monumental peace, peace that surpasses all knowledge and guards the heart and mind.

I believe there are a number of things that contribute to peace; the love of God contributes to peace, simply knowing the truth contributes to peace, but knowing him whom I have believed, simply knowing Christ, and what he did. Strip me of theology, doctrine and all the rest and I can still stand because the fact still remains that in Christ alone I have my very being, source of life, and reason for existence. All because of what was accomplished on the cross.

That is the main reason why I simply could not be anything other than a Christian now. I need no alcohol, I need no drug, I need no fulfillment of lust, I need no wealth or material gain to attempt to satisfy my soul any longer. For Christ has freely allowed me to come and drink of the fountain of living water, and when you have tasted it how can you go back to drink from the contaminated cisterns of the world and expect life in that which is utterly poisonous.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life..." - Jesus Christ (John 14:6)

The way which without there is no going.

The truth which without there is no knowing.

And the life which without there is no growing.
 
Today I love being christain for a very human reason. I know that God will give me limitless favour but as I am currently going thorugh a tough time I needed a chat. Today I met with my pastor, who is only 2 years older than me and received some support and wisdom. It is amazing to know that I have support always when I can't go and see my parents or my family. Sometimes you just need a coffee and a hug. :)
 
Because my God gives me hope and comfort and I know he loves me.
 
Because even though I don't know everything; The one who does is my best friend
 
I love being a Christian because serving God brings me joy. I get to wake up knowing that I serve the one true God.

I've slipped from time to time, but even with that God hasn't given up on me.
 
I love being a christian because....

- It gives me a sense of safety I can't describe. I know im safe, even when Im going through dark places. His light always shine for me, EVERYWHERE I go.

- I'm no longer doubtful or disappointed about my life. For every doubt I have, I know the only answer is Jesus, even if it doesn't look like it at first. I can't help but see Christ in every problem or situation in my life, even if I dont have the answers, He has them and that's enough for me. Im not disappointed anymore because I have the biggest treasure I could ever have, and this one never, ever fades away.

- I appreciate life from a different angle, I feel more grateful with what I have.
- I'm not vulnerable like before. I don't break that easily anymore.
- I'm no longer fearful :)
- My life has purpose, a purpose that is greater than me.
- Before I was christian, I had this anxiety to fix the world , myself, and everything surrounding me. Now I know that's not my job. I'm resting in him COMPLETELY, and that is more than awesome.

I could say a thousand more things about how the Lord has blessed me. He keeps renewing me everyday of my life. While I was writing this, I realized again how GREAT He is. Thank you God!

I love being a Christian because God has given me hope and my life a purpose. I have a reason for living everyday despite what this world throws at me. Never again do I have to feel alone, hopeless, unwanted, or insignificant!
 
I used to love it, now I'm not so sure. I used to think that christians were friendly, polite, humble folks but I'm learning that they are actually worse than non-christians. Of course they are friendly and polite at first, but once they see something bout you they don't like or agree with, they turn into the inquisition.

I don't love being a Christian. I love Jesus. It just so happens that those who LOVE Jesus are called Christian.

But i just love JESUS. Why? Because he cleaned me of my sins. Thats not just a saying he actually did so. ALL the drugs i did, GONE. My Porn adiction GONE. I begged him to clean me, and take my addictions and then belived he would becasue i came in humility and asked. and HE SURE DID. The next day it was all gone. Porn adiction, cigarette adiction, Weed adiction, ALL gone in a day(the temptation sure isnt, but the addiction was severed). As well as many other thigns gone, depresion, GONE. JESUS FREED ME, that is one of the MANY REAONS why i love him.

I LOVE JESUS MAINLY Becasue he is worthy of My Love. and HE deserves my LOVE and obedience. and HE gives me the grace and mercy to OBEY HIM. So all i have to do is trust him and rest. and HE does it all. HE is the best BOss, Master, King, GOD, Husband, Lover of my soul. He is EVERYTHING Father, Brother, friend. I love HIM ONLY becasue he first loved me. HE, seeing the depravity i was in DIED for me and shed his blood on clavary. and made a sinenr like me, a PURPOSEFUL rebelious person like me a Son, he allowed me to becoem a child of the MosT High GOD, and HE will see to it ,as i obey him that HE makes me into the perfection of himself. ALL becasue he loves me. HE will make me like HIMSELF, just because he loves me. LOVE/Power/Wisdom/Justice Humbled Himself and came and died for me. He BECAME humiltiy in its purest form. JUST for me. and HE made it possible that i will be able to not only obey him but DO his WILL. I, little nothing, worm, me, Can DO the WILL OF GOD, and BE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, if we just go to him and ask him what he wants, for us in us. HE uses us for HIS perfect plan. IF we just obey him and seek to KNOW HIM. JESUS is the best GIFT that JESUS could have ever given, and i owe HIM my entire life. MY entire life is denyed, for HIS life to be mine. an it was ALL because he loved me.

So I don't love Beign a Christian. I LOVE JESUS. Jesus Bless you.

I agree with this :D Yes I love being a Christian, and I'm proud to claim it... but above it all I love JESUS the most and everything else under Him is showered with that same love :D
