You are a city, big and unknown
Like a lonely road, with lights aglow
Like a train station at night
To me you are a lovely sight

Like the stars on a clear night
You are an airplane at midnight
But you hide your heart for all to see
Yet I promise you are beautiful to me

When you look at yourself in the mirror
All you see is disappointments and failure
But it doesn't matter to me, it's past
Who you are, is bigger and so vast

Like the city, so rich and with life
Yet you are here, so broken by a knife
That your Delilah brought to your heart
When she cut your hair, and pulled you apart

I am not leaving you taking flight, not this city
not like an abandoned train station, not with pity
Because God, even in our brokenness is able to do
He sends people to love us, and I love you.

:)

PS - This poem started out in the "Just for Fun" Thread. I was outside, looking at the stars and how beautiful they were.
Just wow! I was left breathless... I will try my hand at that thread later with more fun stuff ^_^

As for this poem, and it's meaning... it's hopefully obvious. To beloved unloved.

Romans 9:25

As indeed he says in Hosea, “Those who were not my people I will call ‘my people,’ and her who was not beloved I will call ‘beloved.’”
