Romans 1: 20 "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the the things that are made..."
In Romans here we can gain knowledge and insight just by looking at God's creation. That being said, if we look at the stars, we see stars being born, mid-life, and the death of stars (supernovas). Supernova 1987a comes to mind, do an internet search on it if interested. This clearly is an indicator to me, that the world or universe is billions of years old...Plus there is some other evidences you can look at prove an old earth as well, omitting the carbon dating stuff. Could God have created the Earth in 6 days, Yes...But did He? Does Genesis have to be interpreted as a timeline of creation, or can we rationalize that God is not a deceiver regarding His creation, and just provides a hierarchy of creation, order of events, and uses the term days as means of poetic literature to help us remember these events.
IMO, Kent Hovind is good entertainer, and His theories don't hold up to serious scrutiny.
