I ate a couple of those just a few weeks ago when I was feeding the kids snacks in Sunday school.

They don't have as much flavor as I remember from before.

Well I collect toys so...I miss the original Polly Pockets that I grew up with. If they
were to sell them at the stores again, I would probably buy as many as I can haha.

This is what they used to look like and this is what they look like now.
The quality is much lower and the colors are garish.
I see them for sale @ Walmart and Toys R Us Canada (not sure where you are, but available online :))

My daughter had PP when she was much younger, and really liked them :D

Really? That's quite unfortunate. I wanted to try 'em.

The first thing that came to mind was these…

So unhealthy but so so good! No, the great value Walmart brand doesn’t come close lol.

Georgie Pie was actually a restaurant you could go to and have a meat pie with your friends and family. It wasnt just about the meat pies, that were only $1.

mcdonalds is not the same. I know sometimes their meals are only $3 but its not special the way Georgie pie restaurants were. I also remember when pizza hut and kfc were actual proper restaurants and not just takeaway outlets.

Looks like a nice list.

I wish they still made good music that was easy to find. lol I can find some good sounds, but I have to do quite a search.

That just reminds me, CD's. They should still make CD's, I miss that connection. It's just not the same as streaming, mp3's, or youtube. Yes, they still make CD's, but there isn't any music sections at stores any more. I miss flipping through all the CD's and drooling at all the music.

Speaking of facebook, I seen a record player with tons of 33 records, from old classmate. Was a little jealous to be honest.

You can find these (LPs, CDs) in niche record stores. I think Bleeker Bob's in NY (there may be other locations as well), and Amoeba Records in Los Angeles are examples.

I find myself hanging out in front of shelves, thumbing through endless LPs and CDs, legs getting tired... but being unable to stop the searching...

Twinkies were supposed to be dead, but then they made a comeback. What happened there? Not that I'm complaining.

Wow. I've never seen these.

Too bad Kellogg's has gone woke now.

er
I thought wokeism was about americas guilt over racial slavery not LGBT visibility and pride but could be wrong.
Thats just weird.
what about all the sugar slaves that made that cereal (probably the main ingredient) so arent they just perpetuating it.

Woke-ists are basically Leftist zealots. Yes, the ideology certainly includes CRT, but it also includes elevating to normalcy anything sexually perverse (we're starting to see even pedophilia sneak into the mix), and socialism.

As for the sugar slaves, that's okay, because everyone who virtue-signals hires the slaves in China to produce their favorite products.

But, back to the topic and to steer it away from politics or social issues...

A product I miss is Wacky Packs. Not a food item, but they were a series of cards, sold like baseball cards, that highlighted, shall we say, alternative versions of popular consumer products. Crest for example was Crust.

I also miss the original Dannon Yogurts I used to get as a kid. I don't like the new packaging or the stupid Greek versions of their product.

Anyone remember Koogle peanut butter spread? I liked it as a kid, though I don't think I could eat it today.

I miss this:

first time I had one was in 3rd grade. We had been studying planets/solar system and at the end the teacher brought us all Mars Bars and Milky Way bars.
But I guess they've been discontinued in the U.S.
Once in a while they try a "limited edition" stunt, but I never get them in time, and everyone I know who does get them says they aren't the same...........
and no, snickers and 3 musketeers don't compare (though I like those too)

I miss when folks missed each other more than products
Oh trust me, there are some people in my life I miss extremely bad . My heart will be overflowing with happiness when Lord willing we meet again. I just mentioned products because I was thinking of my grandparents and the shampoo thought popped into my head. Nanny always smelled the best ! Thankfully she is my neighbor and newly recovered from Covid. Im very blessed to not have to miss her. My PawPaw is another story. He's at home in heaven and I'll be seeing him again ♡

? so eating lots of sugar is ok.....?
huh. well lots of people on here are christians from china or descendents of chinese so...spare a thought for the Chinese ok. We get treated just as badly as everyone else.

its just that for breakfast Chinese would never dream of eating cold kellogs fruit loops.
Instant noodles if really starving but not kellogs...!

I said to mum if rice stopped being imported she might get cranky but she said she could survive on potatoes. Im going really. You might be complaining like a pom if you couldnt have rice every day.

lol.

Used to tell english ppl to sod off back to England if they kept complaining about the countries they CHOSE to emigrate to. The weather isnt damp, cold and miserable like it is in England and yet...you STILL complain about minor stuff? Like the horrible processed food you had back there. what is that.

I miss my twiglets and haggis and willie wonka bars?!

the other thing was english people cant figure out how to do stuff themselves or get from a-b because everything runs so much better in england right with ten times the population. But then they choose to go somewhere with a fraction of the people and wonder why everything isnt always laid on for them.
