I need advice

Im a youth leader at my church and i have been for a yer and im 17 and i have been having problems with one of the girls at my church. She has always caused problems she told the rest of the girls some things about me that i dont know what it was about but thank God they saw she was lying and its been about 7 months she has blocked me from social media but then we were doing ok for a couple days she did talk to me but since mothers day she started to ignore me and make it seem like if i was invisible and so has her older sister has done the same things. Her quinceañera is coming up on the last days of this month and i had thought she just thinks she better since she has that coming up but i dont know what i did to her i have always been nice to her talk to her give her a hug i really need help because i do want my youth group to he close and great friends and be united to conquer the world!
 
Hi Kim. I can imagine having a lead role in church at your age is difficult. Those close to your age might resent your "authority". Confronting her alone, through some kind of invitation (maybe to get lunch or something similar), and discussing if you've done something to upset her (not that I think you did anything, just would be less accusing toward her) and how to resolve the issue could be a possible resolution. However, at her age, she might not respond well to any kind of confrontation. It's hard to say. You know her better than I.

Time can change a lot of things, as well. It could be you are just her most recent target and someone else will come along that she concentrates on, if she has that kind of mentality.

Have you considered the possibility she doesn't want to "conquer the world"? Maybe she's trying to hide so she doesn't have to make herself known as a witness to the world. If you've suggested participating publicly, could it be she's scared?

All you can do, if you don't want to try to talk to her, is let her be, pray and wait. But pray regardless. It'll work out. Give it time.

Yes it is hard at times but i love my job. Yes my pastor told me the same thing to try to talk to her alone but its hars because when i approach her she leaves quickly. She said she wanted to be a missionary but i guess actions speak more than words. But thank you for your help and advice i just hope that everything can be resolved and i know God will work with her. Thank you grif101
 
It's well known that women tend to be catty and often turn on one another over petty things. Quite often without explanation to the target. Jealousy is a common motivator, but not the only one. And rarely will someone state that as the reason.
It could be that. Or it could be that some people just don't get along. Not everyone will like you. It's good you're working to resolve it, but at the same time don't get hung up on it. If you make some efforts and she refuses just go in and leave her. It is then between her and God.
 
Father God bless Kim017 and this girl to be kind to one another. Change this girl and she be with love and respect to Kim017GD. Lord bless this youth group and use for your purpose, glory and will. Let you solve the problems arising in this group. Lord we agree with this prayer and ask, please bless Kim017GD and this prayer request. InJesus gracious name, Amen!
