how am I supposed to treat my family if they're believers in christ or they're not saved?????mom? Little brother(11).....my mom believes in god but she isn't born again and doesn't really seem like she wants to be ( I think) ....my little brother is just worried abt facebook and tv. How do I handle these situations????? And how are you supposed to treat a non believer or someone who isn't born again like at work, school, on the street, boys, people that wanna be your friend etc??????

Give me all the advice you can please! Advice by the bible etc not man made things to make people feel better

Pray for them and put them in the Lords hands, they seeing your good conversation might be won to him

How about treat them like normal people? Because thats what they are.

I pray that you will see them as the Lord sees them. Then you will be able to treat them properly. The greatest commandment is to love. We will also be known by our love. But to love someone truly requires oy to see them as the lord created them.

Sweetheart, I think it's lovely that you're thinking of these things, and want your responses to people to be from the Lord. ♥
It's a good reminder to those of us for whom salvation isn't so recent that we should be eager for the people we love to come to have a relationship with the Lord. :)

Galatians 5 tells us that the fruit(s) of the Spirit of God are:
love
joy
peace
patience
kindness
goodness
faithfulness
gentleness
self-control

If, in your interaction with others, you display these things, you'll be well. :)
May the Lord bless you!

I commend you for taking the road less traveled. Yes it is difficult but you have God to help you along the way. Your actions are louder than words. God loves us regardless - so you do the same. Love and pray for them. Your light will shine and you will have the opportunity to verbally talk about God to them when they wonder why are you the way you are despite of the situation. I will keep you and your family in prayer. Be strong and faithful to God!

hi bealight,
I understand your dilema...I was very unusal, I guess, in the way I very recently became a Christian, let me explain and how it relates to yourself.
In march 2010 myself and my son saw very bright lights in the sky, some very low and silent. We eventually started to record them and uploaded one on youtube, this lead me to research them. Shortly after this my wife lost 4 separate family members, from memory with in a couple of months of these lights. I am now firmly convinced from my research that God exists and the Bible tells of many things relevant to today. The way I see it, I was given a sign even though I cant prove what I saw it encouraged me to find out about the truth.
My son now believes in Christianity though does not practice totally in a convention way, whereas my wife initially was worried for me and thought that I was going a little crazy. Any way I really have tried to convince her of what I believe is the truth and the other night I felt a little shocked and disapointed when she told me "I dont believe you".....wow it was like being hit in the face. So...I decieded to back off a little and told her I was only trying to tell her what I know and think because I loved her and was concerned for her, now she has started to ask me about all this research and my beliefs.
Give your family love, pray for them and back off a little. Maybe, just maybe, they will do the same and start asking you when the subject has not been mentioned for a short time. Hope this helps

Hi there, you posted a very interesting concern.

It is impossible for anyone to know if they are saved because it is ultimately God's decision. We have what the tools to be saved through Christ's teachings, but it is how we use those tools. So ultimately being saved is a process through you're whole life from birth to death. When someone asks if I'm saved I answer: "The Lord and I are working on it." :)

As human we always fail and we cannot tell the future, but all we can do is try our best everyday to live according to Christ through prayer and service.
