I have crazy parents. I told my mother they need to get a surge protector for the tv. They had already lost 2 & a fan. Another tv stopped working last week, the one I watch:( My mother has had a toe cut off & a large ulcer sore from diabetes. She loves white rice. She eats it like it is candy & my stepfather loves her to bake cakes. They bake, sometimes, 4 in two weeks. Every time she eats all the rice & cake her leg starts to hurt, her toe bleeds.
Now she is constantly blaming me for both problems. I cause these things to happen with my spirit empowering my words.
"You know what the Lord said to me? All these things you have caused to come against us & others, this year you will pay for it!" - she proclaims.
There is a word from the Lord for everything. She says she & Richard (my stepfather) are the strength for many people. They drain their spiritual power to prosper. If anyone has a house or a large church it is because of them. The church is full of people with vampire spirits who suck the spiritual strength from other people.
My stepfather loves to control. He does it in the name of God. He is the man, he is the head, he is anointed.
So..... you can not sit in his chair, it is anointed. He wants both of us to ask before we eat anything. I'd rather not eat. My mother walked in & out of the kitchen recently in front of him before she said she will cook a steak for herself, she asked him 4 times if it would make him mad if she did. He did not answer, so finally she said someone prayed for her to eat a steak.

This is every day people. Every minute with my mother & stepfather. Pray for a door to open so I can get out in Jesus Name.

 
Dear Francina,

Your parent's story is a sad one; especially your mother's. I believe that it is really too bad when you mix mental instability with religion. But, unfortunately, it happens. This is why God cautions us to "forgive as He forgave".

I'm guessing that you may be staying with your parents in order to take care of them. If that is not the case, I would suggest that you seriously consider moving away from them and living somewhere else. From what you say, I doubt very much if anything you csn do or say will change them in the short run (particularly your mother), and it really isn't doing you any good to live with the situation all the time.

Pray for them. Ask God to heal them and open their eyes to the truth. And by all means try not to hold their quirks against them ("forgive"). But I don't see any reason why should you be constantly subjected to their particular brand of "quirkiness".

God be with you in your struggles.

Thanks for your comments. I know that my mother used to be depressed but it is the beliefs they hold that has caused them become totally disconnected with reality. They believe things that have no biblical basis. They figure themselves to be super christians because of 'advanced knowledge'. If there is anything I've learned.. is stick to the Word. It is actually very practical. All that is my stepfathers' doctrine, he thinks he is a prophet. He did have gifts, they both operated in gifts but their doctrine I saw gave them permission to do what they wanted to do all the time & ignore the pain they might cause to others. I saw they began to say that the Spirit trumps the Word when their actions & desires went against the Word. I don't think you can play with God & get away with it.


One, God can use a donkey we don't become super saints if He uses us. He does the miracles.

Two, We don't need to look for 'the deeper things of God', 'higher knowledge'. The deeper & higher our knowledge, the more we know Christ & are changed.
That is the litmus tests for spiritual knowledge. Christ came & died for others, are we becoming more selfish or more useful instruments?

If you guys read the last line in the OP she says to pray for her to be able to move out. so for those of you asking why she's living there, i'd say its because she can't get out, probably financial. but she does says she wants to get out.
 
I will pray for God to provide a place of your own...But for right now...May God cover you with His love and protection. In Jesus Name Amen

God has gaurded ypur heart and mind in Christ Jesus thru all this, God bless you and just love and honor them as your parents, by no means are we honor to their beliefs,
in my prayers, God has a perfect plan and will in this all to use for His glory

Shekaniah you have no idea how fitting those scriptures are & how often I've prayed them. That is highlighted in my e-Sword.
