I need to purchase Depachote help!!!!!!

My insurance changed and now a months worth of depachote costs me over $200!!!! I live in Seattle and was wondering if anyone has ever gone up into Canada to buy cheaper meds? British Columbia would be my closest province. I need to buy meds soon, quick!!!! HELP!!!!

godtruck, I used to take depakote years ago for my seizures. Do you have epilepsy also? I live in Vermont, but as a cheaper alternative, I'm sure your doctor could give you a generic brand that works as good as or better than Depakote.

Abbott Labs (manufacturer of Depakote) has a patient assistance program through which they provide,
free of cost, their meds to people who don't have prescription coverage through insurance! :)

they can't get it to you terribly quickly, but if you do a web search for 'depakote pap' or 'Abbott Labs pap'
(patient assistance program), you should be able to find their application.
you'll have to give them income verification, and your prescriber will need to give you a prescription,
and there will be a section of the app he/she will have to fill out. most docs are happy to do that.
you'll also find their phone number, if you need help.

you may need to buy a month's worth of the med. (i'm sorry! and praying!)
but after that it'll either be delivered to your home, or to your doc's office--
sorry i'm not sure how that works with Abbott. :o

LOTS of drug manufacturers have PAPs. just fyi.

I bet your doctor would help like BlueLadybug said, also ask if they have any samples to get you through. I used to have a doctor that helped me with that, with the allergy med I take.
 
Thanks for the tips. I think I'll ask for samples and try to contact Abbott labs. :)
