I seem hindered in drawing near to God.

I am so needy and hungry for the Lord yetI find it extremely difficult to draw near to God. Some 2o years I would wake up early and read the Word and it would break my heart so that many times I would weep. I have been through so much to throw me off Bible reading.

Now I haven’t got anything going on with God and I would appreciate your prayers.

God's silence and apparent lessening of His presence can be a number of things. The first thing to check is whether some sin has snuck in that you are practicing. Sin interrupts our fellowship with God and praying that God would search your heart to see if there is any wickedness there as David did is a good place to start.
If sin isn't the issue then God may be proving you. The Lord left Hezekiah one time that He might know all that was in his heart. For me, such a time has led to a greater understanding of my sinfulness, my utter inability to fix it, and God coming to my aid in overcoming.
It's also possible that God is using this to grow your faith. Sometimes we ask and we receive. Sometimes we need to seek before we will find. At other times we need to knock and persist until God opens Himself to us. It's okay to wrestle with and for God. Jacob received quite the blessing when he did.
Whatever the reason, God is doing it because He loves you dearly and desires greater intimacy with you.

I know that God is one that hides himself, but we have the promise that if we draw near to him he will draw near to us.

I need to search for a denouncing prayer online for one thing. I have a lot of things that I need to denounce and confess.

I don't know your situation but you probably just need to find a quiet place and pour out your heart to God. You don't need a special prayer or words...just empty your heart before Him. You will probably laugh a little, cry a little or alot, and find out that God loves you even as you are. But He loves you too much to leave you as you are.
Take your Bible with you too. God may just want to speak to you as well.

I have experienced this before many times and I can say that the LORD causes all things to work together for good to those that love Him and are called according to His will, Press into the Father.

Do not faint or lose heart. A righteous man may fall 7 times but, he will get back up and keep running.

Set your face to the LORD and don't give up, Wait patiently for Him, Listen and Obey.

He will come through, You'll see.

to get the most benefits with a relationship to God, one must be a believer. the Bible is a blessing to those who believe & a curse to those who don't believe. & especially, being a born again Christian is the absolute best position to be in when reading the Bible. you're trouble drawing near to God will be greatly diminished. the devil may tempt anyone to draw away from God but the devil has NO POWER over the believer unless the believer lets him, (James 4:7). so become a b.a. Christian if you are not. God created Christianity, nothing else. ask the Lord for strength in your weak areas. here are a few verses for starters: Proverbs 16:3, 2nd Thessalonians 3:3, 2nd Timothy 2:7, 15, 2nd Timothy 3:16,17.

I have lived my life, thus far, with a mindset of expecting bad things to happen to me. My Mother was the most negative person I have ever known and because of things that I have endured I have a lot of “faith” that I am going to be buffeted with terrible things the rest of my life. I intend on that changing that by the Holy Spirit.

Brother Ronnie You are not alone in this, but I can help you not only be heard by the Lord but also receive an answer from the Lord! First let's look at a person in the Bible who had problems such as yourself. (Daniel 10:10-14) Now how did Daniel finally receive his answer??? Notice for 21 days, and what did Daniel do during these 21 days?? HE PRAYED THROUGH!!! I myself had a time in my life when I thought the Lord had gone to sleep on me, I really needed an answer!!

I talked to my pastor about this, and his response was, how important is his answer?? PRAY THROUGH until you receive his answer! SO!!! I fasted no food no water and told the Lord in my prayer closet I will die right here until you give me an answer!! I meant it to!! I know this may be a bit long but the Lord in me wants to explain why and what I needed. I was helping my Pastor paint his house, a woman came to my Pastor and said my daughter is badly possessed. by some kind of spirit, my Pastor knowing I was delivered myself once sent her to me.

She begged me to come to her house to help her daughter who was about 10 years of age. As I was about to answer her, Holy Spirit inside me said wait 3 days before you go! You're not ready yet. I told the dear lady that I needed to pray about this and would be there within 3 days, she was not happy nor were they believers. And I began my fast, on the second day in the evening of my fast, the Lord showed me her house and that her child had been playing with a oujah board which she hid under her bed.

He showed me that she would rise a foot off the bed and reminded me of this scripture (Matt 17:14-21!!) You see when the evil spirit did not come out right away the disciples doubted the power Jesus has given us, notice I said US!!!(Luke 10:19) Anyway I followed the Lord's instructions. I got to her house and said, you and your daughter must become believers and go to church and give your life to Jesus otherwise I would only do more harm than good (Matt 12:43-45!!)

She promised she would. She began to tell me her location, but I stopped her and said Jesus told me already, she is in the second bedroom on the left and she has be playing with a oujah board which is under her bed, after Jesus casts the bad Spirit out of her you must burn the board, she was in shock, she said I did not know of this!! Anyway, as the Lord showed me as I came to her door a heard a terrible growling, and she was about 12 inches over her bed, I said in the NAME OF JESUS COME OUT OF HER!!! The third time I said this she rested back on her back on her bed and was delivered.

The board was burned, and they attended a Baptist Church, and never had any more problems! Praise the Lord!! Brother Ronnie do not let your feeling get in the way of your faith!! I would tell you to attend a Church as well,we all need support brother! No matter how old or young in the Lord we are. AND NEVER EVER GIVE UP!!

When one seems to be in the darkest part of their life, they are so close to being set free IF!!!! they just stay thankful to our Jesus (1 Thess 5:18) and pray through!! I know the good Lord Jesus wants very much to mend you, but you must do your part, and really get serious about him! My every blessing find you brother and find you most well through our blessed Lord Jesus!!(Jude 1:20-25!!!)
