I think this song is christian

I'm pretty sure they are Christians but not considered Christian Genre. How crazy is that lol! I'm adding it to my Christian radio show! :) thanks for the share.
 
Well the band members both past and present have all been christians, so while not a christian band genre-wise there is no reason they cant have songs dealing with christian things. So i would say you are good.
 
Is this a Christian song? I always thought it was. Either way I LOVE THIS SONG! And it actually helped me with my relationship with God in a weird way. lol anyways, thoughts?

simple answer: nope...not by any chance this side of Hades is this a Christian song

deeper answer: that does not mean God cannot somehow speak to someone in the middle of it

Well the band members both past and present have all been christians, so while not a christian band genre-wise there is no reason they cant have songs dealing with christian things. So i would say you are good.

Can you please tell me why you wrote this? In so doing, you may receive a partial answer to your question of me but I will be happy to fill in the blanks after the fact
 
One does not have to be a solely christian band as in affiliated with the christian music scene and all it entails to write christian lyrics. One does not even need to be a member of CCM to express such faith in their songs. There are actually a decent number of artists who write christian songs but do not align themselves with the 'christian rock/pop/rap' genres when it comes to labeling their bands or their music. If your view of what makes a song christian is the genre it tossed into and not the beliefs of the members and the message behind their lyrics well then thats on you.

hmmm...well you might have already thrown out my reply with your 'well then that's on you'

I'll tell you what's on me.

I don't believe in 10% commitment and crossing borders. That does not establish a good witness and it does not do anything more then add to the already over-populated Christian music scene that endorses talent, whether self edifying or God glorifying.

A Christian song should be doctrinally sound...feely meely new age expressionism crept into so called Christian music years ago and because it appealed emotionally and 'clicked' with the listener...who in many cases never practiced a doctrinally sound exegesis of scripture...thought it was 'all good'. It's not.

God does not surround us in our surroundings down the mountain side of our left side brain. (yes I read the lyrics...it helps to know what you are talking about) That is punk psychology at best and utter get lost in yourself gibberish at worst.

God defines how we are to reach out to Him...we renew our minds with scripture. People need to do that...then this type of song would actually fall way below the standard of what Christian music should be.

If Christian music is an industry, which it is, then, IMO, it has already fallen far short of the reason for it's inception in the first place.

But like you said, that may just be me. But I don't really believe that. ;)

and let's not forget that catchy line: twisting the kaliedescope behind my eyes...like what is he tripping on man?

Well I guess isnce it doesnt quote scripture and throw verses at you then it isn't christian? I mean heaven forbid someone tries not use illustrative language that you cant comprehend. To each their own. I'm still styanding by the fact its fairly filled with christian themes and beliefs and therefore a christian song. It might not be amazing grace, but then it doesnt have to be.

You can stand by whatever you like, but remember I told you that song was not Christian.
