Walking through the grocery store the other day, I kept hearing someone call out my name. I would stop, look around a minute, then go back to shopping. This happened the whole time I was doing my shopping.

Finally, I made it in line. I'm still hearing my name. Being a bit annoyed at this point, I looked around, and said aloud "Yes?".

It hit me like a ton of bricks... I felt it in my heart. There's no way to explain it, unless you've experienced it yourself. I just knew that I was suppose to purchase enough drinks, food and toiletries to fill a paper shopping bag.

I felt it, but I didn't do it. "I'm already in line. The store is so packed. I've already spent my whole grocery/house supply budget for the week. I'll do it later"... I made it out to the car. I put away all the groceries, was getting into the car and I heard it again. "D, You need to fill a bag with food. Did I not just give you a brand new home? Did I not just do for you what you thought was impossible? Do I not ALWAYS provide everything and more?"

I started to cry. I went in and filled up two bags. One with food, drinks, treats, gum and hard candies; the other with basic toiletries.

Half way home, my tire went flat. I was trying to get everything fixed, and a teenage girl was walking my way. She offered to help, and a few minutes later all was fixed. I heard the Voice again "Offer her a drink." So I did.

A few minutes later, we were talking and she started crying. She had just found out she was pregnant. Her mother had kicked her out, her boyfriend had left her, she was trying to make it out of state to her father, but had run out of gas and had no money. I started to cry. I gave her the bags, and we were able to get enough gas to get her to the gas station. I filled up her tank, and gave her my last twenty. She cried and told me she had just been sitting in her car, contemplating suicide. I asked to pray with her and sent her on her way.

I will never again ignore the Voice... I will always listen and obey.
