temple of the living God. When we accept God
we become a surrogate of God and so need to
be a companion to God. In that regard, we are
to say, here I am Lord, what do you want of me.
In today's Christianity, the message from the
pulpits of mainline churches, it is more about
studying the word an being master of the word
rather than living the word. It is uncertain how
it got this way but in my view, I believe that we
need to be taught to be God's assistants and be
His hands and His love upon this earth. Yes we
need to read and become knowledgeable but not
to become scholars but to be active participants
of God.
