Proverbs 22:15 Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him.
There's no better rod than God's.
Brethren, I think only God's rod can handle this situation. ;)

A good match, both peoples eyes would light up blue, a bad match their eyes would turn red. The better or worse the match, the deeper the color. Once married, the colors would disappear.
Would not be good for people who had blue eyes to begin with.

It has been my understanding that when people find problems with the way God does things, it's usually because of the measure they've received from Him due to their rebellion of His teachings.

Did I say that simple enough? Not trying to offend, but disagreements with God have only gotten me in trouble in the past. We need to learn from our mistakes & grow up.
For whenever I speak, I cry out; I proclaim violence and destruction. For the word of the LORD has become to me a reproach and derision all day long. 9If I say, “I will not mention Him or speak any more in His name,” His message becomes a fire burning in my heart, shut up in my bones, and I become weary of holding it in, and I cannot prevail. Jeremiah 20:9

This is Jeremiah saying, "I can't hold God's word within me, I must speak it."
What does this have to do with your Op?!?

I've been married 16 years and I think it's best to know that Jesus said there's only one reason for divorce: fornication. Unless your spouse gets lost and cheats you're stuck.

Lemmee tell a story.
There once was a guy who griped because he was upset with the life he had. When he told his story to others, some thought it would be a good time to voice their own gripes because he was doing it. Others thought they could be one to help him thru his problems, but it didn't work. There was also another group trying to stop the griping by griping themselves that he was griping, hoping others would notice & stop. That didn't work either.
There are some lessons to be learned by all(me included).
1. Griping about God's plan will not solve your problem, because that's NOT the problem. God NEVER is the problem. It's always us.
2. God didn't call any of us to be a "fixer". Fixers usually work for the Mafia & organized crime to make problems go away. If we try to 'fix' someone's problem, we usually make it worse because God didn't call us to be the church's /world's answer man. It also puts us in a place where we fight against God's plan for that person.
3. If the first person's griping is to no avail, how do you think your griping about it will fix it? Jonah was a griper, & you see where it got him.

Did any good come from this? Maybe. The only thing we accomplished was showing our true colors & how we couldn't fight our way out of a wet paper bag without God's intervention.
IF we come to that conclusion, we might be better for it IF we learn our lesson & turn it over to God who is the real FIXER & ALLOW HIM to work. :)

He sent Joseph to Egypt to be a slave, he delayed Abraham's son until he was 99. He caused Job months of pain and suffering....do you really think they were happy about that? You're just one of many Christians calling things from the peanut gallery. As long as it doesn't happen to you, you don't care.

I think one thing that could have been done was to say no arranged marriages. GOD did say of the kings they should not marry for power.
My Grandmother on my father's side was an "Arranged marriage" that only lasted for 72 years. Grandma Victoria said that the first time she saw Grandpa Anthony on the dock, he was the ugliest man she'd ever seen. It worked out nicely, though.

Most arranged marriages are loveless. Would you really want to have your marriage arranged? You have no say on who you marry for life.

I don't think you want want to be married John. I think you're in love with the idea of love and being married, but when the rubber meets the road you'd rather be in hear pontificating about dating and marriage than out there doing something to make it happened.

What have you done lately or what are you actively doing today to help your situation? Do you think some sweet caring soul on this board is going to take pity on you and ask for your hand in marriage? I guess that's always possible but I wouldn't bank on it.

Statistically, they work out better that "Marriages of LOVE". The average U.S. marriage lasts 8 years, and 50% end in divorce. SO far, I'm at 57 years.

An arranged marriage concedes that marriage is essentially a business transaction. The ineffable feeling of heart stopping truly madly deeply in love, is missing, or at least in the beginning for some.

Truth is, Christians are meant only for marriage, if a true Christian in the Book of Life. Many are false Christians and will never meet the perfect person to marry. You must first give your life to Christ before all things. Some are predestined for sanctification in the Spirit. This means they are in Jesus' Book of Life. If you have not given your life, completely to Christ at this point in time, Either you are one of the four living creatures and can still go to heaven, or you are an undercover angel; Either Way, Jesus Christ is the judge of the living and the dead and has power and authority over all souls. This is in the Real Book, which has been altered. It's never too late to give your life to the Good that is in you, the life and the love, to pass judgement and not go to Hell. And those who put their faith in Satan, you must believe he is God and always be loyal to him to be in an alternate Reality which is not Hell. I am a messenger from infinity, Follow your hearts "that which is deep within you and stronger than anything else". It is Christ which will search your mind and your heart. There is an infinite benevolent Savior and this is what I have been shown to be real to this reality. It is our only hope. Hope above all else, no matter where you are, even if you are in Hell, I know it will not be for eternity/infinite time. Believe in Love at the very least, even if you can not have life through Christ. Remember, what I put here can save your souls, please, I implore the administrators not to take it of the forum. And at the very least, please just move it to another forum. There is an Army of Terminators from infinity that will rescue those from this Reality of Christ and Satan. Keep this in your heart, this message is deep within all your Souls. Never Lose Hope

The preacher says it every wedding...
The two shall become one.

And if you can't do that...don't get married. I am she and she is we. My wife is me...we have different talents but her stress is my stress...my talents are her accomplishments. I revel in her triumphs moreso than my own.
I give her my love and she gives me the leadership role. It's how it works.

So when picking a wife...think on ALL these things. Is it "all about you"? Or is it about having someone to give to.
