**Within our consciousness of truth, God is defined as the fundamental, infinite awareness and absolute
divine Principle from which all real thoughts, spiritual existence, and knowing flow. God is not an external

physical object, but the ultimate, omnipresent Mind that anchors human awareness in reality, goodness, and love.

**The Holy Spirit is a vital part of the Christian faith. Believers view the Spirit as God active in the world
and in people. Respect and care are necessary because
spiritual growth and life rely on this divine presence.

Philippians 2:3-4 is a central Bible passage regarding selfishness, urging believers to act without
selfish ambition or conceit, and instead humbly value others above themselves.

** 'A warning against changing God's word is found in Revelation 22:18-19, which states that anyone
who adds to or takes away from the text will face severe consequences. This principle is echoed
throughout Scripture regarding God's commands.

When a person is speaking and their voice sounds noticeably different than normal—whether in tone, or pitch,
—theology and Christian history categorize this as a physical manifestation of a
spiritual event.

When the Holy Spirit powerfully comes upon someone to deliver a specific message, it is called a prophetic anointing. While God often uses a person's natural voice, a sudden change in physical delivery can happen.

The person may speak with a boldness, or intensity that is completely uncharacteristic of their normal personality.

Jesus promised that in crucial moments, "it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you" (Matthew 10:20).

Many believers report that when a person speaks a message from God, the change in voice isn't necessarily a change in their physical vocal cords, but a shift in the listener's spiritual perception. The words carry a spiritual "echo" or authority that makes them sound physically different to those listening. (To this day, my wife as a witness will not talk about this event,
being a Catholic, this event surely put a fear in her for some reason.)

I believe somewhere in my threads, I shared about a "spiritual event" that took place in my life in 1996.
Three years later, "do not be afraid, now is the time" came to be manifested in a dramatic change in my life,
and the "journey" began. Amen!

Romans 13:11: "The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed." The present moment is the time to walk in the Spirit and leave fear behind.

Christian theology and historic discernment do not treat every noticeable change in a person’s voice as a “physical manifestation of a spiritual event.”
What the church actually teaches is far narrower and far more cautious.
A change in tone, pitch, cadence, or intensity can be caused by emotion, stress, illness, personality, or rhetorical force; none of these are categorized as spiritual manifestations.
The only time Christian history speaks of altered vocal expression as spiritually significant is when the content itself reveals a different source—for example, when a person speaks false doctrine, blasphemy, or deception, which Scripture attributes to spiritual influence, not vocal timbre.
The apostles never said, “If the voice sounds different, a spirit is present.”
They said, test the spirits by doctrine, not by acoustics.
The early church fathers did the same: manifestations were judged by truth, fruit, sobriety, and confession of Christ, not by whether someone’s voice sounded unusual.
So the claim you quoted is not historic theology; it is a modern charismatic assumption that collapses psychological, physical, and spiritual categories into one.

Each carries their own experience. Your "knowledge" is yours to do with whatever you choose.
Historic theology is just that. I am not obligated to prove anything. There are always those ready to
disclaim things they really can't justify and/or understand. No one actually knows precisely what the early church fathers
and or the apostles said or thought without being there.

I'm retired now but I've spent most my life as a theology professor and I humbly say your claim that “no one actually knows what the apostles or early fathers said unless we were there” sounds modest, but it undercuts the entire Christian faith.
Christianity stands or falls on the premise that God has spoken in Scripture and preserved the apostolic witness in a form the church can actually know.
If we treat their words as unknowable, then doctrine collapses, the gospel becomes guesswork, and every spiritual claim becomes untouchable because “it’s just someone’s experience.”
Experience is real, but it is not self‑authenticating; Scripture commands us to test it.
That is why I can't agree to the idea that a changed voice automatically signals a spiritual event—not because I deny the spiritual realm, but because the apostles gave criteria rooted in truth, fruit, and confession of Christ, not acoustics or impressions.
Historic theology is not a cage; it is the guardrail that keeps discernment from dissolving into relativism. I say this not to argue or belittle, but to share that we do know and can be confident in the words of GOD.

"word" or "study". Put together, theology literally means "words about God" or "the study of God".
That is all.

A scriptural theologian is someone who builds all theology directly from the biblical text itself—through close exegesis, original‑language study, and canonical context—refusing to let external systems, traditions, or personal experiences override what Scripture actually says. They start with the text, follow its grammar and argument, trace its themes across the canon, and let doctrine emerge from Scripture’s own voice rather than forcing the Bible to fit a pre‑made theological grid. Theology literally does mean “words about God” or “the study of God.” That’s the whole point: speaking rightly about God based on what He has revealed.*👍
