My platform is Windows 7. My version of IE is IE 10. Two days ago upon booting my system (starting it) for no apparent reason IE 10 would open with multiple tabs, up to 20 to 25.
I went to E-how, one of my favorite problem solvers, and their fix was a bit complicated, so I thought for the time being I would forgo attempting disconnecting from the Internet, opening with F8, and a sequence of other procedures.
After a couple of days of tolerating this behavior, I decided to try booting up, and before the configuration was complete I right clicked on the IE toolbar icon, then I clicked on the screen. I kept repeating this from the time it would react until the machine was totally rebooted, and now it works fine. This worked for me, and I hope if anyone else has the same problem, it will work for them. It also worked for me because I ask the Lord to help......................
