You also make a good point, and I don't think conviction will ever be a shortcoming for you. This is a good post. But I have heard many preach on Hell and I walked away thinking they don't believe in it. I meant preach with conviction.

Hell should be preached. Hell fire and brimstone represents a specific way to preach on the topic, which can be over the top and difficult to receive.
Jesus is a great person to emulate. But emulating someone doesn't make you like them. Walking in the Spirit does make us like Christ because as we walk in the Spirit, He lives through us.
So preach whatever you want while walking in the Spirit. It will be the message that God wants to be heard.
Oddly enough, the book of Revelation was designed to give understanding and comfort to its hearers...Revelation 1:3.No and the reason for me was found in the book of Revelation. When I first read this book it scared me. Revelation 21:8 and why is he repeating himself in Revelation 22:15
To me that shows I need the Lord Jesus more than I thought.
Are you sure that is coffeeIf I drink to much coffee I see numbers![]()
I do think there should be a balance, and in many places there isn't.It seems that some churches are scared to bring up the topic of hell. It's almost like they pick the good bits of the Gospels. Until I started to read the Bible I had no idea about this Narrow Gate Matthew 7:13 and Matthew 7:21 'I Never Knew You'
Oddly enough, the book of Revelation was designed to give understanding and comfort to its hearers...Revelation 1:3.
There is warning. That's what allows for the comfort. Jerusalem was shortly to be destroyed. Knowing what was coming and avoiding the wrath to come would have brought great peace. It gives a lot of comfort God and people living together again. For me there is some warning in it too.
I do think there should be a balance, and in many places there isn't.
The gate isn't said to be narrow in that not many can go through. Heaven is populated by a number that no man can number. It is narrow because entrance is only through Jesus.
No. Those who do those things are by definition unsaved. They haven't been converted, in spite of what they might say.So if a person believes in Jesus but still practise magic, is immoral, a liar, a murder, pervert and worship idols they make Heaven?
The Narrow Gate
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
So only a few people find Jesus?
I believe you have an wonderful point.I do think there should be a balance, and in many places there isn't.

Jesus, in John 14:6 says He is the way. He also claims to be the door. He alone is the entrance and there is no other. The way is as narrow as Jesus.
I don't think you are saying this, but I'll preface my comment to make sure everyone knows my context.
I've heard a handful of new agers as well as gematria folks focus on numbers a lot.
The new agers consult angels and then start seeing the same number frequently.
They call it their "angel number."
I think the spirits within those do get direction and it instills more captivation on the supernatural. That kind is forbidden by God according to many passages. One that I looked up earlier was Deuteronomy 18.
I don't believe that the gematria is much different because I the Lord has made His word known to all who have His Spirit living within.
The practice has led the new agers to a form of divination, looking for metaphysical direction outside of the plain written Word of God.
That said,
Personally I have seen a number for years when I walk with the Lord. Sometimes it's after prayer, but it's always when I'm not looking for it. Yesterday I saw the same number numerous times. We're those coincidences? I tried to chalk it up to chance years ago. Then I had to ask myself who actually had the ability to do this, to literally bring my eyes to the number at any given moment in time? Then I asked myself Why did this happen?
No. Those who do those things are by definition unsaved. They haven't been converted, in spite of what they might say.

hi sunnyJohn 14:6 is beautiful
So if a person says they believe in Jesus but don't turn away from these things they are not saved. Thanks![]()
King David lied.
King David murdered.
King David committed a sexual perversion worthy of the death penalty.
Are you saying that David did not have eternal life, but was merely on probation?
hi sunny
I think he's saying this
Mathew
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
In a another scripture it says no can save there own life
your very welcome, I like your manner to acknowledge the important thingsYes, i see now thanks. No one can own their way to Heaven only by Jesus is it possible thanks for helping![]()
2 Corinthians 5:17..if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.John 14:6 is beautiful
So if a person says they believe in Jesus but don't turn away from these things they are not saved. Thanks![]()
No. I'm saying those who practice or have a lifestyle of ongoing sin and void of repentance are not saved.King David lied.
King David murdered.
King David committed a sexual perversion worthy of the death penalty.
