based upon the fact and based upon the many promises made to the Jews which have never been fulfilled.Based on what covenant?
Promises which cannot apply to the church such as that they would inherit the earth ... we are not promised that.
based upon the fact and based upon the many promises made to the Jews which have never been fulfilled.Based on what covenant?
Caiaphas fell and so did Israel, Peter represents the remnant. Israel's fall was predetermined.God did not deal with Peter the same as he did with Caiaphas.Peter received the spirit of God and became a member of Christ and heir to the promises.Caiaphas received nothing and will receive no inheritance.
Caiaphas is not of the seed which is Christ.
based upon the fact and based upon the many promises made to the Jews which have never been fulfilled.
Promises which cannot apply to the church such as that they would inherit the earth ... we are not promised that.
Caiaphas fell and so did Israel, Peter represents the remnant. Israel's fall was predetermined.
I am not talking about the church, our inheritance is heaven and that includes O T saints.Apply to the church,?
Are you saying Jews such as Paul, Peter, and John are not members of the church?
Are you talking about the same church that is the body of Christ or some other church?
Paul says he was of the remnant, the remnant were the early church. Of Israel in the last time Paul says ALL Israel will be saved. What "all" may mean is a subject of debate but it doesn't mean few.The nation that calls itself Israel today will soon fall.Only a remnant will be saved.
Jacob received the name Israel after he had overcome.Theres not many who overcome.Just a remnant.
In Christ we are promised heaven, we are not promised earth ... the Jews are.Sure He has.
When we read "descendants" we should insert "Seed" as Paul taught us. And seed is singular, it means "Christ".
There are people of promise in Christ in those lands today. If not now then in the millennium they will rule those lands and all the lands in the earth.
I am not talking about the church, our inheritance is heaven and that includes O T saints.
God said to Abe look at the stars too numerous to count so shall your seed be, again God said look at the sand of the seashore, too numerous to count so shall your seed be.
There is the heavenly seed and the earthly seed, the natural seed of Abe have promises made to them which differ from the church.
I say to you, if God does not keep His promise to the earthly seed, how can we trust that He will keep His promise to the heavenly seed?
God will keep His promise.
The Jews are enemies of the gospel for our sakes but as touching ELECTION they are beloved for the sake of the fathers for the gifts and call of God are without repentance. They cannot be revoked.
Remember Hebrews say clearly that Abraham was promised that land but never came into possession of it showing that he was looking for a better kingdom.Sure He has.
When we read "descendants" we should insert "Seed" as Paul taught us. And seed is singular, it means "Christ".
There are people of promise in Christ in those lands today. If not now then in the millennium they will rule those lands and all the lands in the earth.
I said clearly that old testament saints are church.Well, while your contemplating living on mars ,I will plan on traveling east to the kingdom of heaven where Abraham, Issac and Jacob are.
Mathew 8:11
I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
Abraham ,Issac and Jacob will be in the same land that was promised to them which promise they have not received yet.The land of Canaan.
Paul says he was of the remnant, the remnant were the early church. Of Israel in the last time Paul says ALL Israel will be saved. What "all" may mean is a subject of debate but it doesn't mean few.
Jacob prevailed in his striving against man and God and God called him Prince ... and all Jacob's seed, 12 at that time but they became a nation.
Remember Hebrews say clearly that Abraham was promised that land but never came into possession of it showing that he was looking for a better kingdom.
The earth promise was made to all Abe's seed, the heavenly home was not promised ... but some looked for it.
God said look to the stars too numerous to count, so shall your seed be
God said look to the sand of the seashore too numerous to count, so shall your seed be.
The heavenly and the earthly.
Jesus is not talking about old testimony saints.I said clearly that old testament saints are church.
But it was Abe's seed which rejected Christ, they were predestined to do so, it was through their rejection that YOU were saved ... salvation is of the Jews.Oh cool. This should clear it up for you then...
Paul wrote to the Galatians:
"Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ."
This is a direct quote from the Old Testament from several places...
Genesis 12:7 "“To your descendants I will give this land.”
Genesis 15:18 "“To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates..."
Genesis 24:7 "‘To your descendants I give this land"...
Genesis 26:4 “And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven..."
Genesis 35:12 “The land which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants after you I give this land.”
I could go on.
Literally EVERY time "descendants" is written it is the Hebrew word zera. That is the Hebrew word for "seed" or "seeds". This is not strange even in English. We may have a bag of seed OR we may have a bag of seeds. Both are correct. So we need some clarification.
Paul, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, instructed us to read "descendants" as "Seed"; singular meaning Christ.
“And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
The natural Jews are not the people of promise. Only those in Christ are of the Seed of Christ. They will inherit the promises.
Jesus is not talking about old testimony saints.
Jesus is talking about the the faith of a Roman centurion and how many will come from the east and west and will sit down in the kingdom of heaven with abraham ,Issac and Jacob.
I have checked the maps and my shortest distance to travel to the kingdom of heaven is east as Jesus said many will come from the west.I would be one of them arriving from the west.
You are all over the mapAbraham was promised that land and never came into possession of it because it was not time for him to receive it.
God is not going to break his promise that he made to Abraham.God said he would give Canaan to Abraham and Abraham will receive it just as God has promised.
Well, this is how Jesus described it to Israel.
Mathew 7
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Jesus said few.
Matthew 5:5...Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.based upon the fact and based upon the many promises made to the Jews which have never been fulfilled.
Promises which cannot apply to the church such as that they would inherit the earth ... we are not promised that.
The Jews were promised a land of milk and honey, this was fulfilled in Josh 21.23.Matthew 5:5...Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Joshua 21:43 says the land promise was fulfilled.
What promises are not fulfilled in Christ?
In Christ we are promised heaven, we are not promised earth ... the Jews are.
