If Noah's Ark is a true story...

That's right....the Biblical flood was local, and not global.

After all, humanity was localized to the Mesopotamian plain -thus, to wipe-out humanity, a local flood is all that was required.

Then why did everyone else have one at the same time?

The flood occured before Babel, thus it makes perfect sense that if the singular flood event did occur, that it would be remembered across numerous races.

Some 200 races today have ancient flood stories....of which, we would predict that they would based upon the history of Genesis...

Try to fill a pan with water that fast, to test if that much water can fall through the air. That's what I mean.

You are correct. The fountains of the deep must be involved. Much of the water that covered the land had to come from below. Now, what are the foundtains of the deep? Maybe, if we can identify them, we will know what they looked like before He turned them off.

I can understand that however I am restricted by many man made items, size of the water, pressure amount, God has no restriections not to mention their had been no rain for 600 years.

First of all i can't believe that there are some that do not think the CREATOR of the entire universe could flood the earth with water within 40 days.

Are you forgetting that He does hold the title of GOD? But....as always.......let's go to the beginning;

Gen.1
[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

So.....we have a period of time where the earth was covered with water. So we know for a fact that it is possible. Let's continue....

[9] And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
[10] And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

Again...we find that the earth was at one point completely covered with water, that is until God caused dry land to appear....and some way He was able to separate the salty waters from the fresh waters.

So.....since we do not know HOW God originally covered the entire earth with water....but we know it was...is it not possible that He could have done it again with a flood? Let's read one more thing.....

[10] And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
[11] In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Note that not only were the heavens opened...but there was also water coming from the, "...fountains of the great deep broken up..."
Again....even if it does not SEEM possible, let's not forget we are speaking about a being that CREATED EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE!

I'll try to clarify it again. We are taught that it rained and the rain covered the highest mountain. It did rain, but the rain could not have covered the highest mountain without some help. The fountains of the deep were the help. The water of the oceans came up on land, some being pushed by the "fountains". At the same time rain came down in two ways. (Which is why this is so confusing. There are three things with water in them in Hebrew, in addition to waters themselves - mayim.) A mabol (deluge), geshem (rain -Gen 7:12) from the windows of heaven, matar (rain - Gen 7:4) If we are to understand what God is trying to tell us happened, we have to get the words straight.

What there had not been in the garden (Gen 2:4) was matar. The deep (tehom) is the same word as is used in Gen. 1:2.

Of course it's right. There once was a literal flood, a literal boat, a literal Noah. But when God told the story, He told it from His point of view. And it is no accident that you can even make the pun on the word Ark of the Covenant in English. (the Hebrew words are different). The Ark of Noah is a symbol of the bridge between ond and new. The Ark of the Covenant is the symbol of the place in our heart's temple where God can abide, like we discussed by pm the other day.

Do the animals represent those bridges or all the promises God made to us before and being carried From

It's your analogy. It seems to me that the clean animals come by sevens, because those are the promises that will nourish in God in the future as well as have in the past. The others are the promises from the past that God will bring worthwhile new things out of in the future.

No, I'm not. The flood covered almost the whole earth. There were a couple other people with boats, and a few who managed to find a tree on top of a mountain, etc. The world flood legends describe such things, and Angela has some evidence in her post that is consistent with this. (Relic tropical forests)

This cannot be possible for many reasons.

One, of which, is the Creation Psalm 104, which agrees with Gen 1, and states that the only time that water completely covered the surface of the Earth was just after it was created - once the moutains and land masses were formed, water NEVER again covered the surface of the Earth.
