I'm beat

I'm a little sad.

Some Christians think that if you don't agree with them on certain teachings of the Bible, that you're a waste of time. If they try to convince you and you still don't agree, talking to you has been a waste of time. At least that's what my fellow Christian just told me.

Can't we all just get along? Becuase I have a different intrepretation of the Bible, she's says that I agrue with the Word of God, ie her personal intrepretation.

I'm just not going to discuss doctrines with Christians anymore unless I think they're open-minded, or if it's on a site meant for debate like this one. We talked for nearly an hour and she thinks it's a wasted hour of her life because I didn't agree with her, excuse me, "didn't agree with the Word of God."

Have you ever talked to someone like that? If they haven't convinced you of their stance they literally get frustrated? I'm personally so well grounded in what I believe that it doesn't bother me if someone disagrees with me or not.

Thats one of the reasons I have not been going to church meetings but have my faith within.
I love Jesus and God.
But i like you dont agree with everyones opinion or forcing their view of things on to you and arguing if you do not see it there way.
Gay love...Im for love.Against hate or hate or judgement those who are different.
I went to a church and was truly disapointed for being a christian church it was not so much genuin love but "skenhelighet", judgement and "casting the first stone"......
The Jesus I know and love is not at all like these people were making out..
I did not fit in there the slightest.
Would be nice to have someone who shares the love and not what was going on there.
I can pray as I walk in the forest or am at home , I can still be with God.
Maybe theres a church i would better fitnto but after that experience and way they treated me so they felt empowered made me not rush to look.
I sometimes go to church to light a candle by myself but not to sunday masses etc...
Christians have tortured,hated and done many bad things in the name of God.
Its not always interpreted in a nice way in my opinion.
I dont get into discussions of this either.
I have friends that are atheists, muslims, buddhists and from different cultures and beleifs but we seem to have the basics in common and we love and respect eachother and our differences also.
These kinds of behaviour can chase away those who are alone and really just need a friend, support etc...
Hope we can learn to be more nicely behaved and tolerant to a different beleif.As long as one is not hurting anyone...
I got rideculed this newyrs eve for loving Jesus "jesus jesus" they said and sent out hate on me.It made me feel horrible.I ignored and walked away .They followed me untill I went home and went to sleep.(Happy New Year....)

I found I get along with people a lot better once I put that same rule in place. Every time someone starts a doctrine debate I tell them to take it somewhere else. I hope you have better luck. While there are people on here as well as other Christian sites, who seem to have nothing better to do than debate their point of view on Christianity and/or the Bible, there's also a lot of people on here more interested in greeting you with a, "Hi! How's it going?"

Keep Romans 14 in mind, and don't be slow to show others this passage as well. It talks about how Christians shouldn't split or get upset over disputable matters. Instead, they should try not to offend the other Christian and not do something that would make them fall or think less of you as a Christian.

I have also had conversations about scripture where the air gets stiff and tempers get hot. It is in these moments that I believe that Satan sees us getting closer to God so he distracts us away from God's real intention for the bible. Satan comes in and pours anger and self pride into us. Then the focus is no longer on God, but ourselves. These are times when we need to realize the real battle is between Satan and God and when we let our tempers take over we are slaves to the Devil. When this happens... take a few moments to regroup.... PRAY!!! Ask God for guidance and wisdom. He will answer your questions... All we have to do is ask. Just know that your disagreement has nothing to do with you o ryour friend. It's all about God an when you put hiim first and seek his true word you will be blessed. -But, please.... Don't let the Devil discourage you from sharing God's word with others...
