Hello everyone, my name is Faith from Trinidad.
I am an author.
God has carried me through storms and survival, and I stand here only by His mercy.
I believe in turning trials into testimony, and I love sharing encouragement that reminds us to stay humble, stand firm in truth, and never lose faith in Christ.
I look forward to fellowship here and growing together in His Word.

Hello Faith (@FaithLegacy), and welcome to CChat! I'm glad that you found us and joined in the discussions with us :)

I've read several of your posts and was impressed by them (they are well-written, easy to understand, and you've made some excellent comments), though I was surprised to read that you are ~not~ a Christian (on your profile page), because you've talked regularly about God (and how He's been a blessing to you), quoted Scripture and posted your favorite verses, etc., which is pretty unusual for those who are not believers.

Christian or not, you are most welcome here, but I'd be interested to know what faith you follow (instead of Christianity) if you don't mind talking about it, of course.

Thanks!

Thank you, David, for your welcome and kind words.
I know my posts may have seemed surprising to you, but I want to be clear: I respect all religions, yet that is what separates us. I am a firm believer in Christ.
Everything I share here — the scriptures, the testimony, the encouragement — comes from my walk with Him. At 19 my life collapsed, no more life as I knew it. My children were taken, my family turned against me, and I was left with nothing but God.
That was the beginning of years of battles and repeated crossings, but through it all I learned that Christ alone is enough. His mercy carried me when no one else did, and His truth became my strength.
So while I may stand alone in this world, I am never alone in Him. My faith is not just words — it is the reason I am still here today.

Hi Faith, so, someone who claims to be a "firm believer in Christ" and speaks of their "walk with Him" typically identifies as a "Christian", but you intentionally identify as "not a Christian" here.

Why

BTW, if you'd prefer not to answer that question, no worries, I'm just interested in knowing, that's all.

I'm very sorry to hear that (no one should be faced with that, especially someone so young).

Quite frankly, I've known others who have turned bitter/turned away from Him (instead of turning towards Him) when faced with crises that were less difficult to deal with than the ones that you described and faced, so I PTL that He was there for you/with you during that terrible time in your life!!

I'm VERY glad that you are here with us, and I look forward to talking with you and getting to know you better.

Blessings to you in Christ!! (Numbers 6:24-26; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
