Hi all, I'm new, I have decided to be a lifelong single person for the kingdom of heaven. As someone as I believe already on the other side of the cross I don't have any desire for romantic relationships with others anyways. I'll share this for encouragement:

Matthew 19:12:

"For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others - and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs by others - and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it".

Now the Kingdom of Heaven I believe is close or already here, this is biblical:

Luke 17: 20-21:

"Once, on being asked for the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, not will people say, "Here it is" or "There it is", because the kingdom of God is in your midst"

Further biblical truth:

Matthew 3: 2:

"... 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near'.

I have a prophetic picture of what the kingdom is heaven is like. Imagine a sandy Australian beach blending into the ocean with white waves on the shoreline. Earth is the ocean and heaven is the beach. The ocean Christians are trying to walk on water hoping God keeps them afloat being the "Salt of the Earth" like the sea is salty, people who aren't Christians are slowly drowning so look up towards the sun and wonder about this as Christians are the "Light of the World". Some of us are already on the other side of the cross on earth (Walking completely on water), on the beach and the white waves in between is the interaction between earth and heaven. When the last day comes deep tide will come to sweep everyone out into the deep ocean.

This obviously means we can spend more time with Jesus why is this good? So we have more of a opportunity to experience God's blessings and to tap into his realm of miracles as we are called to do more then what Jesus did.

Matthew 10: 7-8: ""As you go, proclaim this message: "The kingdom of heaven has come near." Heal those who are ill, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give".

Matthew 28: 18-20: "Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of this age"

John 14: 12: "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father".

I have experienced many, many miracles by now, hundreds between 500-1000 at this point, have casted out demons, healed many sick people and I believe the next faith step would be to raise the dead. I am only 25 years old as well.

God bless, hope this thread is encouraging.

Matthew.

I believe one day I prophesy that I will be led to train at bible college at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministries in California to become a Christian Revivalist, should be good! Bill Johnsons book of the supernatural power of testimony is amazing!

If remaining single and celibate works for you then more power to you. Personally, I don't consider singleness a gift but is usually a choice for one reason or another. For some it can be a curse. Good luck in raising people from the dead though. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.

Howdy matthewmo and welcome to the forum.

Never assume. Always check with God at every step, especially on the path you believe you have been called to walk.

Talking about prophetic gifts? Expect to have a hard time on this site.

But encouraging? More like confusing. You title it about being single, give one scripture about a limited group of people, then go on, bouncing from subject to subject, without ever touching anything related to your title.
Perhaps in your mind it relates, but you didn't translate that into your message. So it looks like your mind kept wandering instead.

But, really, I think wisdom should dictate to know a group before choosing to start preaching messages at them. People hear "single" and make assumptions, but mostly the regulars here have a grip on the topic of your title already. And when they start to struggle they discuss it here and people uplift them. So these preachy messages usually do little.
This is why learning about a group you're involved with is more helpful than assuming you know what they need. You could take time to see what is actually useful instead of repeating what is already known. Or, thinking you are, in this case.

Learn what a group needs, not what you assume. Learn to keep your messages on track and to make it clear, not a rambling mess. And lastly minimize how often you do it. Mostly the singles here have little interest in threads preaching at them. That is more suited for the Bible Discussion group.
