Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)

We are in the world but not of this world. Thus, we must always know and remind ourselves who we are and where we are from at all times. In doing this in our daily lives, we must purposefully fill our minds with the living word of God, and His promises and always ponder on how great and marvelous He is and the things he did, doing, will do in our lives.

YES THIS IS TRUE. THERE IS A DIRTY PULL OF THE WORLD, AN UNCLEAN ATMOSPHERE, FILTY IMAGINATIONS, AND A FAKE COUNTERFEIT OF WHAT PEACE REALLY IS. HAVE A COUPLE BOTTLES OF VODKA, OR BEERS, OR DRUGS, IN EXCHANGE FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS OF PRAYER. IT IS EASY TO TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT, AND FEEL GOOD FOR THE HOUR AT THE HAPPY HOUR. Friendship with the world is enmity with God... I totally Agree with you Jkalyna!! Its true that we humans are not perfect, but we christians must have the heart and attitude to try and fight forwards to live and lead a holy life if we call ourselves Christians, but not conform to the world. It is sad to see some christians/churches these days giving up to fight but choosing to accept the things of the world.

If one has truly met Jesus in his/her life... him/her, they just naturally/ from the inside can not conform to the world, because if the Spirit is in us there is no way that we can bear bad fruits... unless we open doors for the enemy to come in and dwell in our hearts i.e. again allying with the world.

To say it in a simple way an orange tree can't produce pokeweed (Poisonous fruit). Thus, If we let God dwell in our hearts, we will not have hard time doing the right things cuz its the same as the orange tree <- it does not strive to produce oranges... It just produces ... So if we let God be the root of our hearts then we won't struggle very much.. we will just naturally and genuinely follow Him, make the right choices and do the right things with a joyful and light heart ...

Just in case if anyone is wants to know what Pokeweed is-

It is a plant which is also called poke, inkberry or garget. This is a tall and bushy plant. The flowers grow in long clusters and the berries are purple black and are flat. The entire plant is poisonous, particularly the roots. It can do alot of damage to your nervous system.
