I've met not one believer who has not gone through a crisis of some kind, be it persecution, sickness, marital problems, financial troubles, family trouble and so on. God's intent is to allow us to run out of our natural strength. He also intends that we quit trying to be what He wants
us to be (law) and to live by reality and truth (grace).
What is the truth? Jesus really does live in us. He is everything that God demands that we should be. This is true whether we believe it or not, if are in a crisis or if all is going well. The devil's intent is to draw our attention away from the glorious truth that Jesus lives in us. Don't give the devil that pleasure.
We are also hidden in Christ with God. So on earth, Christ is in us. In heaven (our present spiritual home), it is us in Christ. What trial, problem or crisis can be greater than Christ? If He can fail, so can I. If Jesus can be defeated, so can I. God will no more forsake me than He will forsake Jesus.
We need to get over ourselves. We are crucified with Christ, and He is now the new life within us. Focus on that and you will come to the place of victory.
